"I'M COMING"
Jisoo hears the knocking from the door. Managing to peel herself from her floor she hurries towards the door to find her close friends (wide eyed) and confused staring back at her.
Jisoo stares at Jungkook whose eyes seem a bit puffy, most probably from late nights because of work. She motions for the pair to come inside her house before closing the door. "Jungkook?" She calls out watching him made a direct line towards her bedroom.
"Hm" He doesnt care to hear what she says before rushing to her room and collapses on her bed. Chaeyoung sighs, "Sorry. He is kinda busted from work." Jisoo could clearly see that, that the minute Jungkook's head touched the pillow he was out. Nothing could wake him up at this point.
The two laugh at him as they close the bedroom door to give him some peace and quiet.
After Jisoo made her and Chaeyoung a cup of tea, they sat down on the couch. "Okay. Please repeat what happened, slowly" Chaeyoung specifies, she does not want to relive the mess that was that phone call.
Jisoo took a deep breathe before continuing to explain the events of the afternoon. Chaeyoung does not say anything but nods a few times to indicate that she is completely invested in listening to Jisoo's world crumble piece-by-piece. "— so I might or might not lose my job and I don't know to do." Jisoo exhales. Her tea had gone cold by the time she finished her story.
Chaeyoung thinks to herself,"I..." She starts off, catching Jisoo's attention. "I don't think he'll fire you. He needs you to carry out his lie for his mother." Jisoo nods. "Right." Chaeyoung pauses before continuing.
They both fall into silence, deep in concentration. Jisoo's bedroom door flies open, both women jumped in surprise. "Jesus!" Jisoo felt her heart drop in to her ass.
Jungkook's messy hair bounces as he sits adjacent to his partner. "I couldn't sleep." Chaeyoung sides eye him. He complained the entire ride to Jisoo's place, saying how tired he was. "All of a sudden?" She questions him. "I managed to fall asleep but I woke up anyways so-" he sighs. "I have a plan, anyone else has one?"
Jisoo baffled at how he could have a plan to solve her problem already. "How—" before she could ask him, he replied. "Your walls are extremely thin. I could hear everything."
"Old habits die hard, huh?" Chaeyoung teases him. Jungkook stares at her. "I buy you unhealthy amounts of food. I don't have to you know." Chaeyoung wraps her arms around him. "Just kidding. I love you." She quickly redacts her statements. Jisoo rolls her eyes at their behaviour, even after marriage nothing has really changed.
"I SAY ITS BEST TO WRITE UP SOME TYPE OF CONTRACT."
[A/N: I have decided, as much as I want to put out longer chapters. I cant without getting stuck.
So please enjoy these shorter chapters for now. At least they will be posted quicker than the long ones <3 ]
