It's been about a week since I got out of the hospital. Dylan has been busy making the final decisions on his house. It's almost rebuilt. "Babe?" I say. "Hang on." He says waking out of the room on the phone. "Bad time?" River asks walking in my room. He sits on my bed next to me. "When's the house gonna be finished?" He asks. "A few days. Hopefully. He's goin crazy." "He's just stressed out, you should have seen him the night you crashed." "What do you mean?" "I've never seen him like that before. He was a total mess." "I'm sorry for everything I've put you guys threw since.. you know." "I know you are, but don't be." Dylan walks back into the room and grabs a hoody out of the closet. "Where you going?" I ask "I'm doing s walk threw if the house." He says. "You can come." "Yeah."
We walked down the street to the his house. "It looks amazing." I say. The house was beautiful. It used to be a brown house but now it was white and had a gate around it. It has a beautiful wrap around porch and a balcony.
"Hi I'm Shane My teams almost done. We just need you to make a few decisions on design." "Like What?" He asks. "Like the rocks to go around the fire place and for the pool and tiles for the shower." "Babe?" He says looking at me. "What?" "This is all you." "Me? Really?" "I know you don't want to move in right away but one day." "Maybe I do want to, I mean we're engaged. And I know I want to be with you for the rest of my life and this seems to be the right thing to do." Dylan smiles and we walk inside. "It looks so different!" I say looking around. "I can't believe this is your house." "I can't either." "Sir the painters need to know what color to paint the fifth bedroom." A man says. "There are five bedrooms?" I ask. "There are six but there is also an office downstairs and one up stairs that could be turned into bedrooms." "How did we have enough for this?" I ask. "I took out a loan when this all happened." Dylan says and walks upstairs with the man.
I walked toward the kitchen. There was a bar and everything was marble. The sliding door to the backyard is the only thing that looks the same. I walked threw it and saw the pool. It's huge. There was another bar and lighting hanging everywhere. How much did he spend on this? "Callie." I turn around and see Dylan walking up to me. "Hey." I say and smile. "So what do you think?" "It's- fancy. How much was the loan?" "Don't worry about that it's almost paid off anyways." I smiled and he lead me upstairs. "Wanna see the master?" I nod my head and walked with him. He opened the door and walked me inside. "Babe it's huge!" I say looking around. "Walk threw those doors." He says. I open the doors and walk into the balcony. I could see drew and Ashton working on their car from her. "Ash!" I yell and see him look at me. "Woah!" He yells back and they start walking over. "What do you think?" Dylan asks. "I love it!" I say excited. "Holly shit." Someone says downstairs. "In here!" I yell. Ashton and drew appeared in the doorway. "Dylan this place is huge." Ash says. "I know it's crazy." "When are you moving back in?" Drew asks. "Probably tomorrow." He says. "We have to throw a party here!" Ash says. "Saturday nigh." Dylan says. "You're having a party?" I ask. "Yeah." "Since when?" "I sent invites out like three days ago." He says. "You didn't tell me." "I forgot." He says. "Invite who ever you guys want." "Awesome." Drew says and they walk out.
"What's wrong?" Dylan asks. "Nothing I just thought you would have told me." "It's just a party." "Not about the party about you moving back in tomorrow." "What's the big deal?" "It's not a big deal I just- I don't know never mind." "Babe even if you don't move in with me it's still going to be the same thing." "Huh?" "You still always going to be here and I'm always going to be at your house." "I guess." "Baby." He says firmly. "What's wrong?" "Why this? Why thing big house that looks like a Kardashian is gonna live here?" "I just thought a bigger house would be cool." "You didn't tell me, you didn't tell me anything I've been ignored for a week so you could help with the house and now your finally done building it so your leaving."
"It's not like I'm moving far away I'm like five houses down from you." "I know but- it won't be the same." "No it won't but we knew this was a temporary thing. Babe we're just going back to the way it was before we lived together. Unless you want to move in." "Can we just change to subject?" I ask. "Yes." He says. "Well why don't we go do something. Just me and you." "Sounds perfect." I say smiling.
We walked back to my house and I got changed. I put on a white T-shirt and a pair of blue shorts. I threw my hair into a messy bun and put on my black vans. "Ready?" Dylan asks. "Yeah." I say. We walked to his car and drove to the river. "Ok this wasn't what I was planning on doing but I thought this sounded fun." He says and parks. "I don't have a swimsuit." "Your in shorts and you have a bra on." "Fuck it lets do it." I say and hop out if the car. We walked to the river and got in. We swam around for a little while. "Babe!" He says. "Rope!" He runs out of the water and climbs onto a rock. He grabs onto a rope and swings into the water.
"Your a child." I tease. He smiles at me as I wrap my legs around his waist. "Babe." He says. "What?" "I love you." "I love you too." I say smiling. "I want you to stay with your brothers." He says. "Why?" I ask. "Because.. I'm selling the house." "Your what?! Where are you gonna go?" "My mom needs me." "Your mom lives in California." "I know."
"You moving back?" "I have too. Look it'll only be for awhile, and then I'll be back." "How long?" I ask. "I'm leaving the same day you go back to the UK." "How long!?" "A year." He says. "So when I get back I have to wait six months to see you again?" "I'm really sorry babe." He says. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine, I know you have to do this, it just sucks."
"Are you gonna be okay?" He asks. "I'll be fine. Will you?" "Are you kidding? Being without you for 6 months is going to be terrible." "Yeah but you have all your old friends out there." Dylan pulls me closer to him. "Ready to go?" I ask. He nods his head and we head home.
