I walked home with Dylan and we finally arrived at my front door."Look Dylan, i dont want to tell you who to be friends with but Jordan and Kaycee are terrible people." I say. "He laughs. "Then I won't hang out with them." He says. "Seriously." I say shocked. "Yeah if you don't like them then clearly their not good people." He says putting his hands around my waist.
"Thank you." I say. "No problem." He says and kisses me. "I should start going home." I say. He nods his head and kisses my check. "I'll see you later." He says and walks away.
I walk inside and see Drew and Ben sitting on the couch talking. "Hey." I say. "Hey Cal, gotta minute?" Ben asks. "Sure." I say and sit down. "What's up?"
"I know that the last few weeks have been hard, but you have us Callie. You don't have to hang out with that Dylan guy." Ben says. "Dylan my boyfriend? I know life's been crazy these days but Dylan makes me happy. What's wrong with that?"
"He's not right for you." Drew says. "I know his type of girl and youre not it." I clear my throat and sit up. "You may not like Dylan but he's been the only thing keeping me from going crazy. I thank God for bringing him into my life everyday." "I forbid you to see him." Drew says in his mean voice. I stand up. "You forbid me!?" I yell. "I'm sorry but last time I checked your not my parents, my parents are dead, and without him I probably would be too.!" I snap. "Don't be so dramatic Callie, you wouldn't be dead." He says.
"Dramatic!" I scream. " I know we all have our fellings about Mom and Dad, we all are going though hell, but your lasts words to mom were I love you! You know what mine were? I yelled I hate you to her!" Tears started running down my face. "The last words she heard me say to her before she died was I hate you! We all feel guilty about their deaths but the only one that should is me!"
Ben and Drew just stared at me. I saw tears in there eyes. "Callie I know you are having a hard time with this, but sleeping around isn't the way to cope." Ben says. "Go to hell!" I yell and run upstairs.
I jumped in my bed and cried. I want my mom.
Carson walked into my room and sat on my bed. "Callie." He said quietly. "Leave me alone." I say and cover my face in blankets. Tears kept coming out.
"Callie please talk to me." He says. "You want me to talk to you? Fine. I feel like all I do lately is cry. Cry over Anthony, cry over getting cancer, cry over mom and dad, now because of my brothers the only family I have left is turning against me, and dont trust me. I'm so sick of crying over everything. I don't want to cry anymore." I say, tears falling from my eyes.
Carson looks down. "I'm sorry Cal, it's been a hard few weeks and youve gotten the worst of it. This Dylan guy isn't right for you though." He says. I roll my eyes and get up from my bed. "You don't even know him!" I yell. "I'm happy why is that a bad thing?" "Because he's a drug dealer Callie!" I freeze. "He used to deal to miles when his girlfriend lived in California."
I shake my head. "But?" I start. I don't know what to think. A drug dealer? I slip on my checkered vans and run out of my room. Carson was running after me until I got to the bottom of the stairs. "Drew grab her!" He yells and I felt big arms wrap around me. "Get off of me Drew!" I say trying to get away.
"I'm guessing she knows?" He says. Carson nodded. "You knew? You all knew!" I yell and kick behind me. I felt him let go and I run out of the house.
I run down the street to Dylan's house. I saw him getting in his car. Once he saw me he got out and walked up to me. "Hey-whats wrong?" "Is it true? Your a drug dealer!" I yell. "Callie-" he starts "it's true!"
"Callie look, my mom hasn't always been a great doctor, she worked at a hospital but wasn't always good at her job, we didn't have money to stay In our house so yes I dealt a little here and there but I'm out of that now." He says. "You have to promise me your done with that, forever. I do t care you you smoke weed but do not deal it." I say. He nods and smiles. "I promise babe." He hugs me and kisses the top of my head.
"I have to bring my mom lunch at the hospital wanna go?" I nod and we head to the hospital.
