DAVID

For the first time in my entire life, I felt as though my entire being was going to jump out of its own skin.

Everything felt electric, it felt as though we were moving at a million miles an hour.

Accept we weren't.

We were stood still, stiller than I can remember being in a long time, tangled up in each other's embrace. Nothing but hot water and silence encompassing us.

Chest to chest. Heart to heart. Skin to skin.

'I want you to touch me.' She'd whispered, her lips pressed against my ear. 'Slowly and deliberately, I want you to think about every move before you make it, I want you to feel comfortable.'

I didn't know where to start, what to do. What was okay? What was off limits?

She'd said we weren't going to have sex. Which - as wild as that thought was - would have been easier than this. At least than I would have known what to work towards. This simple intimacy was a whole other ball game for me.

'Don't over think it.' Nat said after a minute. I couldn't help but grin ever so slightly. She knew me too well.

'Uhm, just tell me to stop when ... you know, if I go too far, okay?'

I felt her smile against my shoulder. 'Okay.'

My hands were pressed against her shoulder blades, holding her close against me. Slowly, I began to draw small circles across them, gingerly sweeping them backwards and forwards, before moving them further down her back.

My hands crawled further and further down, tracing small shapes along her spine and out along her sides, stopping at the small of her back. I didn't know if I should go any further down.

I felt Natalie nod into my neck where her head was rested, her lips still pressed against my shoulder.

Using my right hand, I very lightly skimmed my fingers across her ass, stopping at the back of her thigh. Bending down, I hooked my fingers under her knee and drew it up so it was curved against my hip.

I felt her moan ever so slightly into my shoulder, the vibration cascading up my neck.

I quickly pushed her away.

'What's the matter?' She asked, folding her arms across her chest self-consciously.

'You can't-can't do ... that.' I said in a whisper, my eyes trained on the tiles behind her head.

'Do what?'

'Moan, right into my shoulder like that.' I said. 'You just can't do that.'

She walked towards me. 'Why?'

I looked at her then, really looked at her. It was obvious she knew why, but for some reason she wanted me to say it out loud.

Before I could even think, I had her bailed up against the wall, my hands on either side of her head, my face resting in the crook of her neck.

'That isn't what this is supposed to be.' I whispered. 'You said we weren't doing that, and if you continue to moan and shiver against me, I don't know if I'll be able to control myself.'

Her hand came up to rest on the back of my neck, her fingers combing through the wet hair that was sat there.

'Okay, I'm sorry, you're right.' She whispered back, trying to calm me down. 'We can just get out.'

'No.' I said quickly, drawing her from the wall and back into my embrace. 'Maybe we could just ... stand here, together.'

Her tiny hands went around my waist. 'Okay.'
