On one side of the table sat Taeyong and his parents, while on the other was a man and who seemed like his daughter, who, through her women instincts, Wendy could tell definitely didn't want to be here.

"Who's this?" the man asked pointing at Wendy. Wendy was shocked by his attitude, knowing how you're never to supposed to point fingers at people when in official work. She peeked at CEO Lee, who didn't even spare a glance at the man.

"My son's assistant. He's still young, so we thought it w-"

"Yea yea whatever, now let's get the dates set up."

Wendy's blood boiled at how the man spoke to Taeyong's father. The Lee family were the most generous business men she had met, at least in terms of work. She didn't know how they were in general, which was why she and Seulgi's mother were afraid of them. But when it came to work, she was shocked at how smart, quick and clever they were, the reasoning behind their long lines of success. And for this they were one of the most high positioned and we'll respected people in the business world.

"We need some time to prepare. We've got a lot on our plate at the moment, and we can't cancel them this suddenly." CEO Lee explained. Wendy watched, and noticed how he looked upset saying these. She also noticed Taeyong and his mother, both not once looking at the father daughter duo throughout the meeting. The man grunted in annoyance, until his daughter grabbed his arm.

"It's OK dad. Give them time please. It's fine." she convinced him, then looked at Taeyong sadly.

"Fine! But remember, no backing out of this deal."

With that the man got up and simply left, his daughter watching his back disappear. She then turned to the Lee family, bowed, and suddenly apologised.

"I'm really sorry for all this. I... I wish there was something I could do to stop it honestly."

Taeyong's mother gave a small but sad smile, and motioned the girl out. She bows once again and soon left the room too. Everyone sat in silence for the longest time, until Taeyong had lost it.

"Screw all of this sh*t!" he growled before storming out of the room. Wendy quickly followed behind and took the next elevator down to his room. Once she entered, she saw how he was starting to destroy papers, stationaries, whatever there was on his desk. Scared out of her wits, Wendy quickly grabbed him to stop him from smashing his lamp.

"Calm down Mr. Lee! What is wrong with you!?!"

Taeyong spared her a glance, unable to move his arms around. For a small woman, Wendy was oddly strong. He sighed and pushed off her arms, before slumping into his chair, face in hands, and started to weep.

At this point, Wendy knew she needed to do something.

"That's it Lee Taeyong," she said slamming her hand onto the table in front of him, "what is going on here? What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Speak formally Ms. Son." Taeyong retaliated. "We are in office hours here."

Wendy sighed, and knee she had to get him to break open. "Yea, well I'm not your assistant right now. I'm talking to you now as Seulgi's sister. And I know something's wrong with you, not only now, but since you broke up with her. So tell me this, Lee Taeyong. Why did you break up with her? Because from the looks of it, it was definitely not your own heart's choice."

Wendy kept a mean glare at him, and Taeyong couldn't break eye contact as he shook in her aura. But her words were starting to kill him, and he knew he couldn't hold his in any longer from her.

"I... I never wanted to break up with Seulgi. She's my life. I feel so dead without her, like trash. I... I need her back." Taeyong looked down and Wendy saw drops of tears fall on the desk. "That man... I have no choice but to marry his daughter. No one wants this, not even her, but... I don't know what to do!" he cried louder even more, and banged his head on to the table.

Wendy watched him, shocked by his new attitude. She moved next to him and grabbed his face, forcing him to look at her. "Tell me right this instance what is going on Taeyong."

Taeyong took deep breaths trying to calm down, and looked at her biting his lips. "Wendy, please understand... I love Seulgi, with my whole heart. I have nothing to offer other women because I gave all of my love to her. But... I don't want her to be hurt. Yes I know our break up is bad, but I couldn't tell her the truth."

"Which is?"

"My late grandfather apparently had a betting addiction. So one time, he bet with his friend and the result was to get their kids married, and they even signed a contract. Of course to them it wasn't a big deal since they were friends, but turns out they both had sons, and his friend's only daughter is way too young for my dad. They changed it to their grandchildren, before they both passed away. But the problem was both their deaths were sudden, and we were still young, so neither of them told us about the contracts, not even to my parents. But... The woman earlier, her father was the only one who found out, so now he's using it to his advantage."

"What advantage?"

"Their company went broke, so he's demanding we marry. But of course he won't say that. He's saying that he wants to fulfil his father's wish. And he'll bring it to court if we don't follow him... Even his daughter doesn't want this, but his threats are too powerful, so we have no choice..."

Wendy finally let go of his shoulders, letting then slump down and hide his face in his arms on the table again. She stood up, heart broken hearing his story, and watched as he started to weep again. Feeling bad for him, she started to pet his hair in comfort.

"So... There's really nothing you can do?" she asked softly, getting a shake from him. He lifted his head up a little to look at her.

"Please don't tell Seulgi. I don't want her to be involved in any of this. I want her to move on... Even if that hurts."

But Wendy knew, she was now a secret keeper for both of them.
