The whole day Wendy spent with Taeil, there were nothing but giggles and cuddles. They took Popo out to the park, ate at street shops, Taeil bought her a new pair of sunglasses, and they strolled around some more for fun.
They came back to her apartment in the evening, letting Popo jump into her little bed while Taeil crashed on the couch. Wendy scoffed shaking her head at the two, and left whatever she carried on the dining table before joining Taeil. Feeling her presence, he immediately fell sideways onto her lap, making her shake her head again.
"I feel like a family woman with you and Popo." she giggled, confusing Taeil by her word choice.
"What?"
"You know, we come home and you two go straight to bed. And I'll be there yelling at you to change clothes before sleeping. Or maybe finish dinner first."
Taeil cocked an eyebrow at her and smirked. "You mean, you feel like a mother and wife." he teased. Wendy blushed and slapped his chest lightly. Taeil laughed at her, and moved up a bit to kiss her cheek before laying back down on her lap. Wendy smiled and combed through his hair with her fingers, their eyes locked at each others.
Suddenly, Taeil took her left hand from his hair and started to lay kisses on it. "Wendy, how long have we been together?"
"A little over... two years. Why?"
Taeil hummed looking away, then looked back at her. "It's been a long time now. And, I was thinking, maybe it's time for some change for us."
Wendy's heart dropped as the worst possible outcome appeared in her mind. She stared at him blankly waiting for him to continue, trying her best to hide her expression. But, just like always, Taeil knew her like the back of his hand. He could sense her emotions and quickly sat up, hugging her tight in his arms.
"Calm down." he spoke softly. "You're so tense suddenly, I haven't even finished my thoughts." he chuckled lightly. Wendy let out a breath she had been holding unknowingly, grabbed onto his arms around her. He slowly let go, and held both her hands tight, his gaze ever so loving.
"What is it Taeil?"
"Wendy, I want something to change, for us. And I know this is going to be the best for both of us, but I still need your opinion on it."
Is he asking me to move in still?
"Son Seungwan." he called her real name, and suddenly he was on his knees holding her hands tight, as if pleading for something. "Marry me."
It wasn't even a question. More like an action for her to do. And Wendy couldn't stop herself from breaking down right in front of him. She leaped forward at him, causing both of them to fall on the floor, and hugged him grabbing his collar tight and nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck.
"YES! A thousand times over and over, YES TAEIL!"
Taeil couldn't help laugh, especially when Popo ran over to them alarmed, and started barking at the couple out of instinct thinking something was wrong. The apartment filled up with Wendy's happy sobs, Taeil's laugh as he know carried her and spun around, and the little puppy's squeaky barking.
Wendy grabbed his face and kissed him, causing him to stop spinning. Her legs hooked around his waist, Taeil grabbed them tighter as their kiss deepened, love and emotions flowing out of the two. When she pulled away, she kept their faces close so that their noses touched. She couldn't contain her smile, as so did he.
"I love you so much." she whispered, softly pecking his lips.
Taeil smiled before balancing her with one arm, and the other on her back to support her. He pecked her lips once as well, then again, and again, speaking in between. "I... Love... You... The most."
Popo suddenly tugged at his pants with her teeth, grumbling in the cutest way they had seen. The couple laughed and he slowly let Wendy down, who carried up the puppy and started kissing and cuddling her.
"Hear that Popo. Mummy and daddy and going to become a real family, with you."
The puppy barked and smiled, and Taeil couldn't help hug Wendy and kissing both their heads. "I'm the happiest man alive." he said and Wendy chuckled.
"Imagine having our own kids."
"Oh God, I'd be in heaven." he said, then pressed their noses together. They were soon in Wendy's bed. They never slept together that often, only in certain situations, like when Wendy had a reoccurring nightmare for days, and he stayed with her to calm her down. Or when Taeil became sick, she didn't care if she would be infected, and stayed by his side until he got better.
Tonight was different. Taeil laid on his back while Wendy on her side, head rested on her arm as she looked down at him. Her other hand traced his features, from his nose to his jaw, and finally his lips. The moment she touched them, he quickly kissed her index, causing her to giggle and suddenly cuddle up to him. Taeil smiled and pulled her over so half of her rested on himself, head on his chest. She hugged him tight and locked a leg around his waist, and they stared at each other again.
"When do you want to get married?" he suddenly asked. Wendy pouted thinking for a short while.
"Soon as possible?" she shrugged. Taeil chuckled at her cuteness and couldn't resist kissing her face.
"How about... in a month?"
"Will we have time to prepare?"
"Well..." he trailed off. "I know you don't like big parties, so I was thinking of a small one, just family. You can invite Seulgi and Taeyong too, and I'll invite Doyoung. How's that?"
Wendy couldn't be any happier. He was the most loving, considerate and warm hearted man in her life. She hated big parties, opposite to Seulgi. She liked parties, but not when you get a whole hall of people you sometimes didn't feel the need to see unnecessarily. She scooted closer and kissed him, then rubbed their noses together.
"I love you." she spoke dreamily.
"I love you too." he replied in the same mood.
