Suicide and is really really sadVeronica's POV
I arrived in the small town of Riverdale. I smiled. It's been seven years since we graduated. I still can't believe I'm back here. I never thought I would end up back in Riverdale after college. I wonder if anybody else did. I guess there's only one way to figure it out. I wonder if Pop's is still open? I left all my stuff in the Pembrooke. My mom gave it to me when she and my father moved back to New York, and I quickly made my way to Pop's diner.
When I got there the glowing of the red lights, the teal-ish blue on the outside walls and the amazing the memories that I had made here came flooding towards the surface if my mind. I smiled and sat at a booth. The normal booth. The booth I used to sit in with the others. The one where we all became friends. The one where we would make up over stupid arguments and have a milkshake together. The one where I met the first and last love if my life. My only love. I ordered me regular chocolate milkshake and sat there, remembering all the memories I made with my friends. I started thinking about my bestfriend, my other half, the love of my life. She was the prettiest, the smartest, the nicest, the sweetest person you could have ever known. She was the best. The bell on Pop's doors chimed. I didn't bother on looking up. I was to busy in my own thoughts about my old life in Riverdale and how it's changed so much. But specifically thinking about her. And just has of on cue I heard my name.
"Veronica?!" That voice sounds super familiar. I looked up and saw her. The love of my life. I smiled, surprised and shocked.
"Betty?!" I said and stood up. She smiled at me and ran over and hugged me. I hugged her back. She pulled away from the hug keeping her hands on my arms. She smiled at me.
"Oh, my God! It's been forever since I've seen you! And look at you! You're even more beautiful than before." She said. I smiled and blushed a little.
"I know! It's been so long!" I said. "But look at yourself. But you can speak for yourself because you haven't changed one bit." I said. She smiled.
"Hey, do you have time to sit down and talk? I would to get to know what kind of person my highschool bestie had turned into." I smiled and nodded.
"Sure." I said and we sat across from each in the booth. We were both smiling like idiots.
"So, when did you get back into town?" She asked.
"I just got here. I was hoping to find you or somebody and look! I found you." I said. She nodded. "How about you? How long have you been back here?" I asked.
"Well, after college I went to LA for a year and a half and when I was there I starting writing more and more. I've thought about writing my own book. I just haven't really had the time!" She said excitedly with a small giggle. I just smiled. "Well, what have you been up to?" She said.
"It's really not that important. Especially not as important as yours." I said. She smiled even more and shook her head.
"Come on! Tell me please! I'd love you hear it, V!" She said. It's been forever since I heard that name. I've completely forgot about it. I nodded and looked at her.
"Well, I've started a business. With the help of my parents of course." She nodded. "It won't be like my parents and be anything illegal like that." I said.
"Yeah," she said. She looked genuinely interested.
"Mhmm, after I went to college my parents changed. They became better people. " I told her. She nodded.
