Betty's POV

I woke up like any other morning, and looked at my phone. Like always I have a text from Veronica.

Ronnie

V: Goodmorning, baby. I love you!

B: I love you, too, Ronnie!

I immediately deleted the message. I know she did too. We have to delete the messages every morning. We can't... we don't want to get caught. Both of our families and all our friends are homophobic. It's hard and it sucks sometimes, but we love each other so it doesn't matter what they think. But It does. We've been hiding our relationship for over a year, almost two actually.

I got around for the day, and walked downstairs. My mom was in the kitchen. She smiled at me, and I just looked down.

"I'm gonna head to school early." I mumbled and she just nodded. I quickly walked out the door.

Ever since Veronica and I started dating, I couldn't look at everyone around me normally anymore. Which is weird. Knowing they'd do anything they could to hurt us since they wouldn't accept it.

When I got to school, I immediately found Veronica, Archie and Jughead in the students lounge. I went and sat next to Archie. I hate that I can't just sit next to Veronica and act like a couple. And I know She does too.

I looked over at her and she looked at me. She smiled and so did I before going back into a conversation with Archie and Jughead.

Veronica and I snuck around school a little today. It's something that we've had to get used to, and we have.

I smiled at her and kissed her again. She had me pushed up against the wall of an empty classroom.

"Veronica, we could get caught." I warned her. She chuckled and lokekd at me.

"This is the third time youve said this in the past five minutes. You've never cared this much before. Why so much now?" She asked. I shrugged.

"Just becoming a little scared and paranoid, I guess." I told her. She sighed and nodded.

"Yeah, I understand. But, we've hidden our relationships for almost two years now, since we were Sophomores not to long after I had come here." She smiled. "We only have the rest of this year and then we can be out of here." I smiled at her a little.

"Yeah, but we still have six months till this school year is over." I told her and she rolled her eyes.

"Okay, but who's counting, right?" She asked. I laughed a little and kissed her again. We were interrupted by the bell. She pulled away and sighed, annoyed. I smiled.

"Let's go." I said, but she stopped me by grabbing my arm. I looked at her. "What?"

"Come over after school. My parents will be there, but I just want to hangout with you for a while." She said, and I smiled.

"My parents will out late tonight." I told her. I noticed her lips turn into a slight smirk. "Come over."

"I think I just might." She said and we walked out of the classroom together. We immediately were spotted by Archie. He walked over to us.
