I hate what I am and start silently crying.Tears start rolling down my face and I let them. After a couple of minutes of sitting I stand, wiping the tears from my face. I throw water on my face and walk out. I run into straight into someone "Sorry!" I say, looking up. I see Alex, Ally, and Jake standing in front of me with worried looks on their faces.
My first thought is "Oh shit!" They might have heard me! I mentally slap myself for being so stupid. Ally opens her mouth to say something but before she can someone shouts "Hey! It's those kids that are missing!" We all look at each other and run to our seats to grab our things.
We get everything and meet up at the breakfast bar. We hear running and shouting, looking behind us we see guards running towards us yelling to stay where we are. I run to the door leading to outside, yanking it open I jump out of the moving train landing on my ankle. I hear a crack knowing it's my ankle; I scream in pain and fall to the ground.
Before I hit the ground someone catches me. I open my eyes only to be found looking into deep blue ones. I stand; leaning on Alex for support I look around and see that Ally and Jake are behind me as well. They all must have jumped after me; Ally sees me leaning on Alex and rushes over asking what's wrong at least 50 times.
"I'm fine I just hurt my ankle that's all no big deal." I say, just to get her to be quiet.
I look around to see where we are and see nothing, but land and mountains that are as big as a skyscraper. Great just great! I think to myself, I look into my bag and grab medical wrap I packed just in case. I also grab my brush; I sit on a rock and wrap my ankle.
Then, I brush the knots out of my black hair. After I get done I hand my brush to Ally for her to use, she sits next to me and starts brushing her brunette hair. Pulling my hair into a high ponytail I pull out the map I drew in North Carolina. I look at it and find where we are. Ugh that was no help at all! "Guys, I know where we are!" I shout to them. They all run over to me, looking at me for an answer. "We are in the Smokey Mountains."
We walk for days, stopping here and there to rest which is what we are doing now. We set up a camp and are sitting around the fire. We are just staring at the flames of the fire. There is an akward silence between us. Finally, I break the silence. "So, why did you all run away?" I ask, curious about their stories on why they ran away like me.
"Well," Ally starts. "I ran away because my family always would ignore me so, i figured that they didn't need me." She says, as if it didn't bother her.
I look towards Alex and Jake next. "Our parents hurt us when ever we did anything good or bad. We left after we got enough money to leave that horrible place and met you two!" Jake says, with hurt in his voice.
