Chapter 8

A/N: sorry I haven't updated in a while I have been busy with school and family drama and my own problems with my back got scoliosis so my mind has been everywhere but here you guys go I'm doing more than one chapter:)

Lena P.O.V (finally yay)
All I can see is darkness, but I am starting to get my senses back. I feel someone holding my hand and I want to squeeze their hand but I can't. My eyelids are really heavy so I can't open them. I should be dead but I'm not which is confusing. I focus all my strength on my hand to squeeze back. I think it worked because I feel the other person squeeze back too. That gives me the strength to overcome the weight on my eyelids and I open my eyes. I'm looking into blue eyes and I know who it is.
Alex.
"Lena, your awake!" Alex whispers/yells. "....Yeah idiot I think I know that... " I reply jokingly. He smiles and laughs. We sit in silence before we hear a knock on the door. A doctor walks in "Oh your awake well hello Lena I am your doctor if you would like to know what happened when this young man brought you in I will be happy to tell you." The man says politely. I nod and he continues "Well you have some broken ribs, a mild concussion, and you cracked your skull a bit. It's a miracle you are alive. Oh and my name is Dr. Waters. " the man says he is checking my vitals. Dr. Waters writes something down and walks out. I look to Alex and smile. "Where are Jake and Ally?" I ask. "They went to go get snacks but should be back so-" he is cut off by the door opening and Ally and Jake walk in. Ally's face lights up when she sees I'm awake. She squeals and runs to my side. I smile and hug her. "I thought you were going to die falling down that mountain. Don't ever do that again." She says while there are happy tears rolling down her face. "Sorry it's not my fault I was shot and I didn't die." I respond while motioning to myself with my hand. Everyone laughs at me. I sneak a look at Alex and see he is staring at nothing lost in his thoughts. I turn back around to Ally because she is talking about something that I don't care about. I pretend to listen while my thoughts are filled with Alex. He's cute, funny, and smart. I think I like him. Oh my god I do like him! But I doubt he likes me back I mean who will I'm not very pretty compared to other girls. I'm pulled out of my thoughts by Ally screaming my name in my ear. "Huh? What?" she just looks at me like I'm crazy " I have been calling your name for the past 5 minutes are you okay? " she says worry in her eyes. "Oh sorry I was just thinking. " I look at Alex again and this time he is looking back at me. I blush and look down. "OK, well Jake and me are going to that hotel next door to get some sleep we found some extra money. " Ally says while walking towards the door and holding hands with Jake. I give her a look and nod at their hands. She blushes and looks down before looking back up and mouthing to me "it's nothing shut up" I smile and mouth "sure it is." she continues out the door. Which leaves Alex and me. This is going to be fun. I yawn and Alex comes back to the chair beside me and sits down. "tired?" he asks. I nod and get comfortable. "I'm going to sleep on the floor if you need me. " I just nod to tired to say anything else. I slowly drift to sleep.

Alex P.O.V
I wake up to Lena screaming. I jump up and rush to her side. She is still asleep but she is thrashing around. I shake her to wake her up. She jolts awake and starts crying. "are you okay? Bad dream?" I ask her calmly. She shakes her head and nods. So I guess she boys okay and had a bad dream. I wrap my arms around her and hold her close to me. Lena turns her head into my chest and sobs. I gently rub her back, trying to calm her down. She stops crying after awhile. "Do you want to talk about it? " I ask her softly. "I was falling again but this time someone pushed me off on purpose and I died and all of you were dead too you were pushed off with me. " she whispers softly. I hug her again and move to go back to the floor. She jerks her hand out and grabs mine, stopping me. I look at her confused. "Stay with me tonight please I'm scared. " she says answering my unsaid question. I nod and she scoots over so I have room to lay down. I cover us both up with the blanket. I put my arm around her waist and pull her to me. She snuggles up to me and I put my head on her shoulder. "Goodnight, Lena." I say into her ear. She mumbles goodnight back. When she falls asleep, I whisper something else. "I think Im falling in love with you."
