Chapter 14

A/N: decided to continue it. Here's a short chapter because it's really late but I wanted to update

Jake P.O.V
I walk with Ally, where Lena told us we would sleep. I open the door, revealing a queen bed and flat screen TV. Ally walks in before me and goes to closet. "What are you doing?" I ask, curious. "Looking for pajamas. Duh. " she replies, still looking. She finally finds somehing and pulls it out. I see a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. She turns towards me, silently asking me to turn around. I turn around and for good measure put my hands over my eyes. I hear her moving and wait. "Ok, you can turn back around." I turn back around and Ally comes back over to the bed. She goes to the other side of the bed, climbing in. I slide my jeans off but leave my shirt on. Ally doesnt know about the beatings so I don't want to risk it. I lay down and she lays her head on my chest. "it's weird," She starts "being here I mean. It's been 2 Years since we last saw her. I wonder what she did." I stare at the ceiling, listening. "maybe you should ask her, only if you want to I mean." she nods in response. "Jake?" I look down at her, at the same time she looks up. "yeah?" she gets a sad look on her face and I start to worry. She sighs before saying, "I think we should break up. " I jerk up, looking fully at her. "Why?" I whisper. She sits up too. "it's just weird. Your my best friend. It was easier talking to you back then now it's like... I don't even know." I nod, still shocked. "if it's what you want." even though my heart is breaking in the inside. I grab a pillow and leave the room, going to sleep on the couch.

Lena P.O.V
I wake up, feeling arms wrapped around me. I smile, remembering last night. I reach over to my nightstand and grab my phone. I click the button, lighting my screen up. I smile at the recent picture I took of all 4 of us yesterday. I look at the time, 1:00 am. I slowly remove Alex's arm from around me and walk to my door. I realize that I don't have anything on and quickly but quietly slip on a bra, underwear,  a pair of shorts that are really comfy, and Alex's shirt. After I shut my door,  I quietly walk downstairs, trying not to make noise. I go into the kitchen, opening the fridge. I grab a bottle of water, sipping on it. I go back to the living room, noticing something on the couch. I move closer, seeing that it's a shape of someone. I get close enough and see that it's Jake. I reach my hand out and shake him awake. "Jake? What are you doing out here?" he opens his eyes, sitting up. "Lena?" I nod and he moves so I can sit down. "Ally broke up with me. so I came out here." his voice cracks like he's been crying. I hug him, trying to comfort him. He leans into my hug. I hear a noise near the door, making me look at it. "did you hear that?" He nods and I slowly get up. I go to the door and look through the window on it. I don't get a good look before the door bursts open.
