[Frei's POV]

...

"Again, it is nice having fair business with you, señor." Eiros slightly bowed his head as a gesture of his genuine respect and gratefulness to the shopkeeper.

In response, the kind shopkeeper bowed his head, somewhat mirroring Eiros'. "Por favor, amigo, the pleasure's all mine. Frankly, had not for your little merry band, this pequeño of a shop of mine may have been on hot fire for the next upcoming days." he chuckled.

Afterwards, we all gave our gratitude and farewell to the merchant. Mershanttes raised his hand in the air and gave us a wide wave, hollering from the distance, "Don't hesitate yourselves if you need anything else, dearies!"

~~~
Ever since I heard those words come out from the merchant's lips, I've dreadfully spent the whole daylight basked in depressing sadness. I...
Everyone I knew there... is really gone now...? Father... Mother...
...
What about my brother? Astrid and Sir Vaike? They went on an expedition near the border of Edfaust. I've yet to hear news of their whereabouts...
I may look fine right now, yet I know I'm but a frown away from freeing the tears from my eyes. I just...want to be with my family again...
...
Unaware whilst contemplating in sadness, my arms moved on their own, crossing each other as if I were giving myself a tight embrace.
I... I want my parents... I want to embrace them... But... But...
"Hey..." Eclis murmured to me, his eyes hinting with worry. "I-I'm sure that someone from there survived too. I mean... He said that no one got out of there alive, but you're here now walking with us, right?"
"Maybe... No, I'm sure you're not the only one who had escaped from the castle's demise unscathed too. Just like you, Frei." even though I could sense how eager Eclis is trying to comfort me, he's kind of horrible at it. Of course though, what matters is his kind and comforting thought.
