Unexpected; 5sos Fanfiction

Chapter one

I woke up to the sound of my step dad yelling at the dogs. Great. I can tell it's going to be a wonerful day. I rolled my eyes and stretched out my arms and legs. I sat up and rubbed my tired eyes. Never go to a friend's house and drink on a Tuesday, it makes Wednesday hell. Last night was fun though. We were up until about 3 a.m., but then I had to sneek back in my window before my mom got up for work.

Luckily it was spring break, so I didn't have any school. I yawned and got out of bed grabbing my phone from the bedside table and opening my door. Before i stepped out i turned on my phone, cleared the notifications, and checked the time. It was already a quarter past noon (12:15).

I grabbed my makeup wipes and cleared off my face. I looked in the mirror at myself without makeup, not bad, but not beautiful either. I brushed my hair and got out of my clothes. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around myself while I turned on the water. Even tho I was alone I still hated my body and couldn't stand being naked. I waited for the water to get to a nice warm temperature then hung up my towel and stepped in. I let the warm water wash away my killer hangover and tried to relax...

*After the shower*

I ruffled my platinum blonde hair with the towel that wasn't wrapped tightly around my body. I laughed when I looked in the mirror and saw my hair. Such. A. Mess. Almost explained my life. I wrapped the towel around my hair and grabbed my phone. After grabbing my clothes off the ground and turning off the light, I walked to my room.

I opened the door and walked to my bed, sitting down on the edge. I looked at my phone and saw that I had three messages. One from my friend Madi, one from my friend Ryan, and one from my guitar teacher, reminding me of my lesson. I opened Madi's first so she wouldn't kill me.

'What were you think hanging out with her again?!?! Hayden, you know she is bad news and you ALWAYS get into trouble when you're with her...ugh call me ASAP!'

Ugh ok mom! Don't get me wrong I love Madison, but she can be so frustrating sometimes, I don't need to be monitored.

'Let me get ready, I'll just drive over.'

I opened Ryan's next because it was probably about practice and finding a new member.

'Hey Hay
So I got the new song you emailed me, sounds good except you need to drink more water hun your voice sounds tired. Anyway I might have found a new vocalist/guitarist. Well, msg me later love you

If I had but ONE bag under my eye he would ask if I was getting enough sleep. He was worrying about me to, but he did it in a way that was endearing. Madi just freaked out. I laughed remembering a time when I was joking and accidentally fell out of the car window about a year ago. She was almost in tears. I ended up comforting her, explaining that Ryan was only going five miles per hour and that I fell on my butt so I was fine. But I gotta love her, I know she cares.

'Alright. Can't wait to meet him/her. Hey head to Madi's in half an hour k? K. Love u too!'

I was right about the my last one, just a reminder for tomorrow.

I hopped up and took the towel off my head, shaking out my hair. I threw it on my bed and walked to my dresser pulling out a bra, undies, BVB tank, and ripped black skinnies. I dropped the towel and quickly put the clothes on before I could let myself see my scars, I didn't need the reminder of last month, or everything else that made me cut.

I plugged in my blow dryer and straightener. I pressed the button and turned it to high, then grabbed my blow dryer and did the same.

*After getting ready*

I looked in the mirror, I looked ok I guess. I didn't do much with my makeup since we weren't uploading this practice and my hair could look a little better, but I didnt care.

I walked down stairs and grabbed my keys, bag, and journal off the small table next to the front door.

"Im going to Madi's I'll text you when I get there," I yelled to my step dad. I heard him grumble a response and I was out the door. I walked to my mom's old voltswagon jetta which was given to me as a birthday present. I pressed the button to unlock the car and got into the driver's side. I started up the car and backed out of our driveway, mentally preparing myself for mama Madi's lecture.
