Chapter Two

I pulled up in Madis drive and honked twice. She opened the door and gave me a look that spelled trouble. I waved, turned off the car, and got out. I walked up to the door and opened my arms for a hug. She shook her head and walked inside. Ugh. Yep...she is pissed. I just chuckled and walked in, shutting the door behind me.

"So, would you like to tell me where you were last night?" She raised an eyebrow.

I stuck my hands in the air, "Not sure what you are accusing me of." She shook her head.

"She's no good Hayden...I dont know why you hang out with her."

"She gets me drunk and we have a good time." I shrugged my shoulders and sighed. "Besides, she ain't all that bad. She is pretty nice, and you guys used to be bestfriends."

She stood up and walked over to me. "Used to be Hayden, key word, used to be. As in, not anymore. She was wanted to party then got way to into drugs. You know I don't tolerate that shit!"

"Bro, she tried heroin like what? Once? And besides, you know I won't touch that shit, not after Bryan." I sighed at the mention of my ex and walked over to the couch to sit down.

She gave me a sympathetic look and came to sit next to me. "I understand why you soon what you do...and I get why you hang with her, but I just don't like it." She hugged me and I set my head on get shoulder. "When did you visit him last?"

I shrugged. I really wasn't sure. I lifted my head up and she let go. "Not sure, I'll go see him soon I'm sure." But I probably wouldn't.

She shook her head and we heard a knock. She opened it to see Ryan and I smiled. Finally time to start practice.

I set down my bass and wiped my forehead. "Great practice guys! It's kinda off without our other guitar, but still amazing."

Madi smiled and set down her guitar down. Ryan nodded and put his drum sticks on the chair he was sittin on and walked up to give me a hug. I gladly excepted and ugged him back.

"Alright," He said with one arm draped on my shoulder, "about this new guitar player. She is totally cool and I think you will adore her." I nodded and a knock on the front door. "There she is now."

I gave him a wtf look and he just shrugged and pulled open the basement door to go upstairs and answer the door.

"I can't believe he invited her here without asking like for real?" Madi looked at me in agreement and opened her mouth to say something, but shut it when we heard the basement door open.

I took one look and wanted to punch Ryan in the face. Jessica Miller.
