Today was Monday. And I woke up to my alarm blasting in my ear. I looked a my clock to see that it was only 6:30 again. I gently woke the sleeping Saihara that managed to sleep through the alarm. He refused to get up, so I practically had to drag him out of bed. Once he was up he sat at the kitchen table as I got dressed. I simply put on a pair of black jeans ripped at the knees and a white long sleeve shirt. Today my scarf was now tied around my wrist. Before I left my room I grabbed a black button up shirt and a matching pair of black jeans from Shuichi's bag. Once I left my room I threw them at the half awake detective and made him get dressed. Surprisingly, he wore the outfit with no questions and was even looking for a belt to match. When he finally found the belt and put the outfit on, we had to start leaving. Naturally we didn't have time to stop for coffee or breakfast, so I grabbed two bottles of iced coffee and two breakfast bars I bought for this exact scenario. After that, we left and ate breakfast on the go. Once we left, we took our time walking to class and actually ended up being late. Luckily for us, the teacher was later than us, so no one could tell.

Once we sat in our desks the day seem to fly by us. I retained very little information from being in class, but I did doodle some little pictures, so who's the real winner here. Eventually, in what seemed like no time, we were at lunch. While me and Shuichi sat to eat lunch, I had the sudden urge to invite Maki to sit with us. I really wanted to be her friend again and I figured this would be a good way to start. "I'll be right back Saihara-Chan, and hopefully I'll have a friend with me." I cheered as I begun to head over to where Maki was sitting. I quietly walked over and sat directly in front of her. "hey Maki-roll, I know it's been awhile since we've talked, but I was wondering if you wanted to sit with me and Shuichi over there?" I politely asked.

"Really? After all this time, after how mean we've been to each other, you still wanna be friends? That's a funny joke Ouma." She snapped back.

"I'm serious. But you clearly don't believe me, so you don't have to come. I knew this was a bad idea, but the offer is always there if you change your mind." I finished. At this point, I went to go back to my table. I was really bummed that Maki didn't wanna come, but at least I had my Saihara-chan. He seemed to be the only one I had anymore. I sat back down next to Shuichi and began to eat my lunch. I broke down and told him what happened when I got up. He comforted me and told me that he could talk to her. But to our surprise, we saw her and Kaito get up and sit in front of us. "Cheer up Ouma, you don't need to cry over me, well not now at least." Maki teased. We all laughed and finished our lunch. After a bit of talking, the bell rang and we went to our last two classes. They sailed by completely and we all walked home together. Once we hit my dorm, we all separated after that and me and Shuichi walked into my dorm. We sat in my dorm for the rest of the night and relaxed enjoying each other's company. Later we ate homemade ramen for dinner. Then we decided to tackle all of our homework together. Later we both got changed into pajamas, and started to head to bed. That was until I realized it was Saihara's last night. So, tonight I decided to be bold. We laid in my bed together, and as we began to fall asleep, I moved my body into Shuichi's arms and pulled him close. I wrapped my arms tight around him and I felt his arms wrap back around me as well. Soon after, we fell asleep like that.

The next morning I woke up still in his arms. My heart skipped a beat, yet ached at the same time. I was happy to be in the arms of the one I loved the most, but torn because he would be going back to his dorm tonight. I silently cried in his arms and pulled him closer. He woke up and held me tight, "What's wrong Ouma? Did you have another nightmare?" He quietly asked. I nodded me head and he rubbed my back to comfort me. I looked at the clock to see that it was only 3:00 in the morning. So, I snuggled into Shu's chest and was lulled to sleep by his heartbeat. Soon, we woke up to my alarm blaring in our ears, and we sprung up quickly. My room felt immensely cold when I was out of Shuichi's warm and comforting arms. Nonetheless, we still had to get ready for school. So, He went to shower and I just got dressed. I changed into a pair of grey sweatpants and I stole a black shirt from Shuichi's bag, then I completed the look with my NASA jacket and my signature scarf around my neck. Once Saihara was out of the shower, we began to leave, but not before we grabbed our iced coffee and little breakfast treat. This morning we decided to be on time, so we started a brief jog, and surprisingly, we were early. The day went on pretty smoothly, nothing really stood out at school today. The only good thing was when Maki and Kaito sat with us at lunch again today. Our last two class dragged on like nobody's business. It almost felt like torture. But somehow, Shuichi made it all better, by constantly passing me notes and doodling little picture of me in his notebook. Although he was no ultimate artist like Angie is, the drawings were still surprisingly beautiful. He torn the page out of the book and handed it to me to keep. My face turned a bright shade of red and I put the drawings in my folder. Suddenly, the bell rang, and our day was over.

Shuichi and I walked back to my dorm together. I still couldn't help, but be sad when I remembered he have to leave soon. Once we got to the door, he unlocked it and lead me into my dorm. I closed the door behind us, and Shuichi motioned for me to sit at the table. His face was still and expressionless. I was anxious about what was going to happen, but nonetheless, I sat down. He placed his bag on the chair in front of him and began to open it. In the bag, he pulled out a black box with a purple bow on it. He handed to me and simply said "Open it Ouma". I nervously reached for the lid and lifted it up to see his old hat that he used to wear all the time. Underneath the hat was a bunch of pictures from when we were out in the town and in the grocery store. "Thank you for letting me stay here Ouma. And for being the greatest best friend I could ever ask for." He smiled towards me. I stood up and pulled him into a close hug. I held him close and said thank you to him in return. I swore that I'd get him something in return, but he refused, but I'm still gonna do it. Eventually he pulled away from the hug, and told me he had to go back to his dorm now. I gave him once last squeeze and then he headed towards the door. I walked him out of the door, we said our goodbyes. I watched him walk all the way back until he took his last step into his dorm. Before he even walked in, I saw Shuichi wave to me then disappear into the door. Once he was in, I hurried back into my dorm and I tossed my body onto my bed. I held his hat close to my heart and I cried. The bed still smelled like him and just laid took it all in. I eventually cried myself to sleep.
