CHAPTER THREE"Come on, Lizzy. Keep up, you slug!" Cedric chuckled looking over his shoulder at his little sister. She shook her head with the usual smirk on her face. She wiped the sweat off her forehead and tried keeping up with her brother but he was obviously way faster with his long legs.
She halted in her steps. She panted and rested her hands on her thighs to catch her breath. She shut her eyes for a brief moment.
"It's not fair, Ced, my legs are way shorter than yours." she said, she could hear his laughter but it started to fade away and slowly turn into a strange growl. She shivered at the sudden change in his voice and looked up.
"Ced?" her voice echoed through the pathways of her surroundings that seemed to change. Her brother was nowhere to be seen and the darkness began to surround her. She clutched her arms around her chest as she tried to keep herself warm when a sudden breeze brushed over her skin.
Tall hedges of the maze trapped her inside. Her head twisted around in a panicky manner. Her throat felt dry as she breathed in the thick air, nearly gasping. When she turned around, looking for an escape she saw him. Laying on the dirt his blooded body seemed lifeless. A cold cry escaped her lips, she leaped forwards. She tried to ran towards it but it felt like her legs weighed a thousand pounds. It was as if she wasn't moving at all and his body seemed to be only getting further and further away.
Sweat dripped from her body and she froze in place when a sudden dark figure appeared next to Cedric's body. A devilish grin spread across his colorless face. She wanted to scream but her body didn't allow her to. She was held in place, unable to move as she watched her brother's body being dragged away by the monster himself, Voldemort.
She gasped for air and jumped up in bed, holding a hand to her chest. Her entire bed was drained in sweat. The nightmare was nothing new to her but they were exhausting and terrified every bone in her body. It happened every other night, keeping her from getting a good night sleep. She couldn't remember the last time she actually slept through the entire night and felt well rested when she'd wake up.
She emerged from her bed and turned the lights on. Coming back without notifying the teachers in time had its perks. She had an entire room to herself. It was exactly what she needed. She'd have hated to b stuck with someone who either feared her or looked at her apologetically all the time.
The room wasn't anything special. A simple bed stood in the middle with her trunk in front of it. A dark wooden dresser stood against the wall and a green circular rug laid on the ground. She hadn't bothered to unpack and simply crashed in bed after the late night snack with Blaise.
She decided to hop in the shower and head to the library after. It was only five in the morning but the early wake ups was nothing new to Liz. She had gotten used to her early rising. She clutched several books to her chest, ready to get some studying done to impress the teachers when she bumped against a certain someone.
