CHAPTER FIFTEEN
She fluttered her eyes open, blinking multiple times before she realized what had just happened. Her head perked up at the sound of several familiar voices, the first familiar voices she had heard in weeks. Her eyes narrowed looking at her surroundings, tall trees and the sun brightly shining onto her. They were in a forest.
"Harry, quickly!" Hermione ordered, kneeling down next to the wounded redhead. Ron was grunting in pain. His left arm had wounds with blood gushing out, Liz knew something went wrong during the apparition.
"What happened? I thought we were going back to Grimmauld's place." Harry asked.
"We were, we were there but Yaxley grabbed ahold of me and I knew once he knew where we were, we couldn't stay so I brought us here but Ron got splinched." Hermione cried applying dittany onto Ron's arm. Within seconds the wounds healed partly. Magic never stopped amazing Liz as she stood their with a big smirk. She untied her hair from the ponytail and shook it loose. She grabbed her bag and began changing back into her own clothes.
"And what was she doing there?" Hermione scowled at the brunette. Liz furrowed her eyebrows when Hermione stepped closer, tightly holding onto the wand in her hand. Harry jumped up standing in front of Hermione as if stopping her from attacking.
"I could ask you three the same!" Liz spat "Harry, you're number one on their wanted list yet you decide to visit their damn lion's den, do you have a death wish?"
"Do you?" He asked ever so calmly. Liz rolled her eyes and shook her head "I was merely trying to get into Yaxley's office, to get some information on Voldemort."
"Why? You could've just asked your boyfriend." Hermione asked, her tone annoyed and frustrated.
"Hermione." Harry warned.
"What? She's sleeping with the enemy."
"Draco's not the enemy."
"Oh really? He's the reason Dumbledore got killed."
"He had no choice!"
"You always have a choice."
Hermione huffed before turning around and stumping off. She was going to place a protective enchantment around them, in case anyone would be snooping around in the forest.
Harry stepped forwards, looking into Liz her eyes. The exhaustion radiated from the girl. Not only did it look like she hadn't been eating in weeks but the bags under her eyes were darker and bigger than ever.
"Why would you want information on Voldemort? And why would you look for it in Yaxley's office?"
A deep sigh escaped through Liz' puffy lips before she spoke "I was desperate, I've been trying to find—"
"Find what?"
"Horcruxes."
She saw the shocked look on Harry's face about the fact that she even knew about the dark magic in the first place. Though he knew how smart Liz was and how determined, once she'd put her head to something she'd manage to do it. Harry was good at analyzing people so it didn't take much for him to figure Liz out.
"You're not the only one who wants him dead, Harry. Let me help."
Harry shook his head slowly "It's not safe, you could've been killed, you still can now that you've been spotted with us."
"If that's what it takes to kill the beast then yes," she stepped forwards looking Harry deeper in the eyes
"Harry, they already know I'm with you three so there's no point in backing out now. I know you don't trust Draco but can you please trust me, I want to help.""Why do you want to help?"
"Because he, Voldemort took everything from me." Liz said, her voice quiet as she tried to hide the sadness in her voice. She hated showing her feelings, she didn't want to be seen as weak.
Harry nodded knowingly, he knew exactly what that felt like. Without saying another word he left to talk with Hermione, she'd be needing some convincing words before she'd let the Slytherin stay.
Liz knew she didn't stand a chance alone to find all those horcruxes. They were too difficult for her to find without their knowledge.
