Liz held onto Harry's and Hermione's hands as they apparated to Godric's hollow. Snow covered the streets of the dark town. Small snowflakes fluttered onto Liz' red cheeks. She pulled a hat from her bag and placed it over her brown hair to keep her somewhat warm.

"I still think we should've used polyjuice potion." Hermione whispered. Liz grabbed ahold of her wand inside her pocket so she could use it when necessary.

The three walked through the white streets of the quiet town. It was empty, suspiciously empty around them.

"No, this is where I was born. I'm not returning as someone else."

The bells of the church rang and a peaceful choir was heard from inside singing Christmas carols.

"I think it's Christmas Eve." Hermione stated quietly.

Liz glanced over at the dark graveyard next to the church, her watery eyes glooming into the darkness.

"Do you think they'd be in there, my mum and dad?"

"Yeah, I think they would."

They limped onto the graveyard, their eyes reading the dark head stones for any familiar name. Liz clutched onto her jacket as a cold breeze passed. Graveyards always made her feel uncomfortable especially at night.

She looked over her shoulder as she saw Harry and Hermione standing in front of a headstone. Hermione leaned her head onto Harry's shoulder. For a second it was as if she was looking at herself and Draco. A silent tear escaped her eye as she watched them standing there surrounded by the snow.

She quickly wiped the tear from her cold cheek when she saw a black figure standing not far away from her; staring at the two Gryffindors. Liz inhaled sharply and quickly walked towards them.

"I think someone's watching us," she whispered, her heart was pounding in her chest as the words rolled over her tongue. "by the church."

"I think I know who that is." Harry stated. Liz furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, she could barely she the person's face yet Harry knew who it was.

They began following the person from behind, quietly as they tried not to draw attention to themselves. "I don't like this, I don't like this at all." Liz whispered as she linked her arm with Harry's.

"Liz, she knew Dumbledore, she might have the sword."

They stopped in front of a house, well what was left of it. The top of it was nearly gone and it seemed to have been burned down partly; years ago. Harry swallowed before speaking "This is where they died, this is where he murdered them."

Liz didn't have to ask to know what he was talking about. The sad tone in his voice was enough for her to know. Liz knew what it was like to lose someone but growing up without parents like Harry, she'd never know how hard that must've been.

Liz winched at the sight of the woman suddenly standing next to them. A hood covering her grey hair, only her face was seen. A wrinkly pale face stuck out from under the black hood. Liz got shivers just looking at the old woman. Her eyes were dark yet glistening in the moon light.

"You're Bathilda, aren't you?" Harry asked but no answer was heard from the woman. Instead she led them into her house, a small cottage at the end of the alley. Liz hesitated before stepping inside, but decided not to let her fear rule and be brave like her brother always was. 'Woman up.' She kept repeating in her mind, pretending it was him telling her that.

"Miss Bagshot, who is this man?" Harry asked holding a picture frame in his hand with the picture of a blond man inside of it. Bathilda remained quiet and stepped away.

"Harry," Hermione whisper yelled as he followed the old woman upstairs, her lips quivered in fear.

"What the hell is he thinking?" Liz asked. Hermione shrugged and glanced around the living room.

Hermione pushed a wooden door open. Flies came flying from it and a rotting odor made its way into their nostrils. Liz covered her mouth at the sight of blood on the ceiling.

A sudden loud crash was heard from upstairs. Liz gasped as Hermione called for Harry. Liz pulled her wand out and together with Hermione she ran upstairs. Her heart was pounding in her chest, for a moment she thought it was going to explode.

As she reached the top if the stairs a flash of light was shot by Hermione's wand. Liz hadn't seen it at first but when the flash hit something she saw the shiny snake falling downstairs.

Instant goosebumps were formed on her skin as she shakily held her wand in the air. "Is it dead?" She whispered, her voice shaking. Harry looked into her eyes before looking back at where the snake had been seen last.

Liz' heart skipped a beat when the snake appeared in front of her eyes. "Incendio!" She yelled and within seconds Hermione had grabbed ahold of both her and Harry and apparated.
