"Well, time to move in."

Leon and I slip in through the side, almost going undetected until a woman nearby caught sight of us and obnoxiously alerted her fellow villagers. They, in response, start chasing after us carrying weapons.

"¡Por ahí!"

"¡No los dejes escapar!"

"Well, that's our cue to run!"

We both run into the nearest house, and I quickly close the door shut. One of the villagers chasing us slams his first angrily on the door.

"Vayan por detrás"

I roll my eyes, idiots need to learn not to speak their plans aloud. They don't know who may or may not know their language.

"Bloquéo el paso."

"What's up with these people?" Leon questions "What are they planning?"

"They're coming in from behind, and they're going to block the exit" I translate.

"¡Están en la trampa!"

"Oh, that doesn't sound good" I say.

The sound of a chainsaw catches my attention.

"¡Dios mío!" I whine "Why are they so desperate to kill us?!"

We start moving furniture around to block doors, and windows. Leon takes the lead upstairs, and makes a sound of delight.

"What is it now?" I ask.

He shows me the shotgun he's found. Yeah, Leon plus a shotgun? These guys are dead. After picking up the shotgun shells in the room, he shoves the ladder away from the window, and slips out. I cringe upon hearing the sound of the chainsaw, but I jump down to join my partner. He loves jumping out windows, not sure why.

While he's dealing with the chainsaw guy, I grab the attention of the villagers, shooting them while making sure to keep a distance. They're in a crowd, so keeping distance from them prevents me from becoming overwhelmed or ganged up on. Leon comes into view, having dealt with the chainsaw man. He begins assisting me with the crowd of angry villagers, but not too long after, the bell of a church goes off and seems to distract them from attacking us.

"Ah... la campana..."

"Es hora de rensar"

"Huh?" I lower my gun "Right now?"

"Tenemos que irnos..."

I watch as they all drop their weapons walk right past us to the church, as if they're in some sort of trance. The groaning sort of unsettling...

"Lord Saddler..."

I crinkle my eyebrows and narrow my eyes, as I watch the last of them enter the village, making everything suddenly silent.

Leon snickers "Where's everyone going? Bingo?"

I kick his boot "No, they're going into the church. To, uh, pray..."

Leon raises an eyebrow "At a time like this? They were just-"

"Yeah. Exactly. Something's not right here. Let's just try to find Ashley as soon as possible and get the hell out of this place."

Leon nods in agreement, and radios out to Ingrid.

"Hunnigan. I have some bad news. We've confirmed the body of an officer. Something's happened to the people here."

"Guys, you need to get out of there" Ingrid says "Look for a tower, and follow the trail near it."

"Got it, lots of love, Ingrid" I sing

Leon disconnects and turns to me "You're just doing that to annoy me at this point, aren't you?"

"Yes. Completely." I say honestly.

He doesn't reply, simply opting to start looking for clues on Ashley's whereabouts. Me? I start looting the nearby houses.

"Ivette!" Leon interrupts, hissing at me "What're you doing?"

"Looting"

"That's illegal"

Says the guy who walked into someone's home without asking first.

"Everything about this village is illegal, so what?"

He grabs me by the shoulder and drags me out of the house. I start organizing the herbs in my bag, while he looks around. It's small, mostly meant for herbs and ammo. If I try hard enough, I can fit a few grenades in there.

"Ivette. Better take a look at this."

I walk over to him and peer down at the photo. It's us, walking through the woods. "That's not creepy at all. When did they even take that?"

"When we first got here, I think"

I take a look at the letter underneath it.

Alert Order.

Recently, there has been information that a couple of United States government agents are here investigating the village.

Do not let these American agents get in contact with the prisoner.

For those of you not yet informed, the prisoner is being held in an old house beyond the farm. We will transfer the prisoner to a more secure location in the valley when we are ready. The prisoner is to stay there until further notice. Meanwhile, do not let the American agents near the prisoner.

We do not know how the government found out about our village, but we are investigating.

However, I feel that this intrusion at this particular time is not a coincidence.

I sense a third party, other than the United States government involved here.

My fellow men, stay alert!

-Chief, Bitores Mendez.

"Oh" I say "Well, they're pretty stupid leaving these sitting around." I pause for a moment "My fellow 'men'? What about the poor women?"

Leon rolls his eyes "Is that seriously what you're concerned about right now?"

"Yes, Leon! My ladies need recognition here in this fine village!"

After checking everywhere for more possible clues, we finally decide to move on to a different area of the village. This part of the village appears to be stupid or something because they're still trying to kill us, as if they didn't hear their loud ass church bell.

As we continue to look around, we stumble across a pile of dead bodies in a wheelbarrow. It's annoying, because these people act like zombies, but they're cohesive, and don't eat the people they kill.

Tch. Wasting good human, just like that.

I nearly have a heart attack as a villager comes from behind a wall and grabs onto me. I kick his leg out, causing him to fall to his knees and then shoot him in the head. I stare in bewilderment as his body turns into bubbling goo.

"What the fuck is wrong with this whole village?!" I shriek.
