"I think you've lived long enough!" Salazar claps his hands together.

"I think that's not up to you." I say with a pleasant smile on my face.

"Well, let's see if you can survive this time." He throws his hand up.

The door behind us shuts. Then spikes eject from the ceiling. The ceiling then starts to lower.

"Nooo!" Ashley screams.

"Hehehehhee..." Salazar escapes out of a door.

I look around for a second and then start shooting up at the glass things in the ceiling and it stops moving. This is just getting boring now.

They do manage to separate Ashley and I from Leon with a stupid trap, the threat then being two guys operating a drill. The threat exists for probably five seconds because I snipe them in their seats.

"Geez, is he even trying anymore with these traps?" I ask.

I hear buzzing nearby, but by the time I turn around it's too late. A large bug grabs Ashley and flies away with her.

"NOOOO!!!" She screams, and reaches out for my hand. "HEEELLPPP!!!"

I run after her, but then another bug interferes, grabbing me and then dropping me off the edge off the stone platform.

Leon quickly grabs my wrist, though, and he pulls me back up. There's a swarm of them. He decided to take them out with a shotgun, my rifle not doing so good with how agile they are.

I use my rocket launcher to take out what I assume to be the nest for those things. It collapses and falls off into the darkness below.

"Those dirty flying bastards! Come on, we have to find Ashley" I say, and Leon nods.

The Merchant is in the next room, so I buy a magnum, called The Broken Butterfly. Afterwards we find ourselves outside, about to enter a tower.

A transmission comes through though, temporarily distracting us. I miss Ingrid.

"I wonder if you can see me, Ms. Branagh and Mr. Kennedy?"

"If you even scratch her, I'll break your bones!" Leon threatens.

My stomach drops and I step away from him.

"Leon... your eyes..."

"First, we shall see if you can make it this far. I'll be waiting."

The transmission disconnects, and Leon turns towards me.

"What did you say?" He grumbles.

His eyes are normal. That's weird... I could've sworn...

"Nothing, just my imagination."

He eyes me down for a moment, carefully studying me, then pulls out his binoculars.

"Shit" He curses and then puts away his binoculars. "Let's go."

I follow him, as he takes the lead. They must've known we were coming because they start arming the catapults. I snipe them, despite the distance proving to be a difficulty. As usual, Leon covers me while I take them out.

We head inside the tower from the top, there are gears so it clearly operates something. I suggest to Leon that we try to get it operating again just to see what happens. He seems to agree with me, even if not verbally.

I pick up a note on my way up and read it as I walk.

Ritual Preparations.

Thanks to the efforts of the "Novistadors," we have been able to recapture Ashley.

We shall prepare for the sacred ritual as quickly as possible and make Ashley an official member of the Los Iluminados.

While we prepare for the ritual, those of you who feel inclined can attend to our American friends.

We should be able to hold off our friends for at least a little while by jamming the gears in the clock tower with something.

I think if we jam the gears in 3 places, it should give us enough time to prepare everything for the ritual.

Now go and entertain our American tourists.

"Well, he's an idiot for leaving his plans just sitting around." I take out my gun and start shooting the pieces of wood that they've jammed into the gears. I get the gears working and I can hear some ruckus from outside. A door also opens.

Cultists start pouring in, trying to take us on as if we didn't obliterate hundreds of their people already.

We end up having to face two Garrodors, or at least that's what I heard them being called, a little later on. Leon says he faced them in the prison, when he went on alone, and explains to me how to deal with them. They're blind, and follow sounds to figure out where their enemies are. With all of the bells in the room, it is too easy to trick them and just shoot them in their weak spots; their backs.

I open the doors, expecting either another puzzle or more enemies, but finally we find Ashley again. Her hands are tied behind her bad and she has blades to her neck.

"Ashley!" Leon and I call out.

"Guys!" She sounds absolutely terrified.

"Hehhhehheehe"

Man, I want to rip out his esophagus.

"Mr. Kennedy and Ms. Branagh. Don't you know when it's time to throw in the towel?" He raises his hand.

I gasp as the floor falls out from under me. Leon and I both attach grappling hooks to the side of the wall, keeping us from further falling.

"Hmmm? Where's the satisfying sound of one's impalement?"

"Hmpf. Won't fall for this old trick." Leon takes out his gun and shoots a metal thing that I assume carries sound through it.

"AgH! HoW dARe YOu!!! nO MOrE GAmES!! kIlL ThEM!!!!" A pause. "KIlL!!!"

Wow, he is just pleasant.

"QUICKLY! WE SHALL PREPARE FOR THE RITUAL!!!"

Leon and I carefully descend ourselves to the bottom of the drop, avoiding the spikes.

Another transmission comes in, and I watch as Leon answers it.

"So maybe you have nine lives. But it doesn't matter now. I've sent my right hand to dispose of you both."

"Your right hand comes off?"

I burst out laughing, and lean over clutching my stomach.

"Hmpf! Say whatever you please. dIe YoU WOrMs!!!!!"

And the transmission ends.

"Wow." I whisper "That was intense."
