The Bachelorette

Week 4. Cocktail party

I was thrilled going into the cocktail party. I had one of the most amazing group dates so far and I was excited to keep building my relationships with all of the guys.

We arrived to the place where the cocktail party was and sat down on the couches. I grabbed my glass and though for a second what was I going to say. 

"So, I had a wonderful day today. I got to share a little bit of my passion with all of you. I am very passionate about my job and career and I wanna thank you for being interested in that. Maybe it wasn't the best date, but for me it was an absolute dream. With that being said, lets have a wonderful night."

Everyone raised their glasses. Will was the first one to stand up and approached me. 

"Alanna, would you like to talk?"

"Absolutely, lets go."

I stood up, grabbed his hand and walked next to him to a little private room. 

"I had a lot of fun today. I was in total awe of you talking about what you love."

"I really love my job."

"I saw that today."

"I was actually impressed with the way you took charge today. You are a natural leader."

"I can proudly say that I've gained that quality thanks to my students."

"Do you teach?"

"Yeah. I'm a maths teacher. I teach 7th and 8th grade. And occasionally I'm a substitute teacher for a high school near my house."

"That's awesome. I hated that subject when I was younger."

"Most people do. But, with the right teacher, you will love it."

"It's that so?"

"Absolutely."

I jus chuckled and kissed him. After that I rested my head in his chest.

*At the mansion*
"Guys, date card." Jack R. told everyone. "Okay, here we go.
Colton, Kyle, Liam, Isaac, Charlie, Cameron, Jack F. 'Friendships last for a life time. Love, Alanna.'"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Liam asked. 

"I have no idea." Colton said.

*Back with Alanna*
"I wanted to ask you something."

"Of course." Will replied. 

"Do you like Josh? Not just you, but you as in all of you guys. I can sense that there is something going on."

"I don't hate him, but we don't get along. It seems that he thinks that the world revolves around him. If I'm being honest, I don't think he is here for the right reasons. And I don't think he is very liked among the other guys."

"Hmm. Okay, thanks for being honest."

"Always."

As our conversation came to an end, Shawn came to find me. 

"I'll see you later, okay?" I asked Will. 

"Sure."

I got up and grabbed Shawn's hand. 

"You look lovely tonight."

"Thank you. You also look very handsome. I quite like the way you look with a leather jacket. So sexy."

"Oh, thank you."

"Did you have fun today?"

"Yes. I don't really understand everything about the structure of the building and everything, but I liked being there with you and getting to see what you like to do."
