There will just be days wherein she will remember the pain of the past.
It was a Sunday. The day was great. It was sunny and it was bright. It was loving and full of warmth.
Mom and Dad was there, they loved each other dearly. They loved me too. They never showed me anything but love.
That was the best day of my whole entire life.
Everything was perfect.
Until it wasn't.
Mom brought me to my cousin's home during the afternoon.
I had a great time.
But, never did I know that when I'd walk back home, I'll arrive to something I would never forget.
Something gruesome.
Something wrong.
Something traumatizing to the mind of a nine year old.
And so I ran.
I ran back to my cousin's house and stayed there for hours.
I cried.
I never answered my aunt and uncle.
Until, someone knocked on the door.
My cousin's parents opened the door.
It was the cops.
They had a short conversation,
then my aunt and uncle looked at me with worry.
then they found out why I was crying.
Why I couldn't speak.
What I may have seen.
They think they know what I've truly witnessed.
But they don't.
They think I was crying because I saw my mother's lifeless body.
But no.
More than that,
So much more than that,
I witnessed my very own father murder my beloved mother.
