I took a short glance at my front mirror.

She was still sitting formally like how she did when we first came.

All she did was keep her eyes locked at the window.

If I wasn't driving, I would focus more on her. But I would be crazy to not swear that a tear just fell from her eyes.

At one moment she was this happy and carefree woman and now she's being dramatic.

Pathetic?

Maybe. I don't know.

I don't think so...

After a few minutes, the two were back at the parking of the Prosecutor's Office.

Angela was going to head back to the offices. She was still as silent as she was, which wasn't really her thing.

"Ms. Peregrine." Edgeworth called out, before his secretary could pass the entrance. He locked his car as he got her attention.

Angela turned around to look at Edgeworth, after a few seconds she was already walking back towards him.

When they were in front of each other, Edgeworth's cold face was replaced with something more comfortable, warm even.

It was like he cared for a second.

Then he spoke... and all of those extraordinary things just went away like dust.

"As you would know, its trial day tomorrow. Be at your best state. Most importantly, do. not. be. late. Got it?" He told and asked, did both actions in the coldest and strictest way he could.

Not being at her best state, Angela just replied with a simple, "Yes, sir." and a smile, yet engraved with that response was a dreadful woman who was really depleted and...'emotional' as one would call.

Eventually, she turned around and started walking toward the entrance.

But Edgeworth called her again, making her heart raise indifferently.

"Ms. Peregrine, what are you doing?"

"I was going to return to the library for work." She retorted.

"But didn't I just say, be at your best state tomorrow? By that I also meant, go home." He spoke, coldly.

"But sir—"

"No buts, Ms. Peregrine. Go home." Edgeworth said with a stronger facade than of the last time.

Angela, with knowledge that there was nothing she could do, decided to just follow her boss.
