As Angela walked into the visitor's lounge, she tried to stop herself from crying by being quiet. She sat at one table, and Edgeworth walked in from the other side a few seconds after. He also sat down, now being faced by his secretary.

"What are you doing here, Ms. Peregrine?" He asked. His voice was in a harsh tone of anger and bitterness.

Angela found it hard to reply.

"I'M ASKING YOU, MS. PEREGRINE. WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" He yelled at her through the glass that divided them.

Angela didn't know why, but for some reason she expected that he'd be even glad in the slightest way to see her. Especially because, she thought they built something over the couple of months they've worked together.

Because of this, she was slightly startled, but she calmed herself down slightly.

She chuckled lightly, in her belief that her boss was one of the most emotionally blind people she's ever come across.

"d-didn't it ever occur to you, t-that... maybe I'm here because I care. Is it so hard to imagine?" Angela asked, calmer but still upset.

"or perhaps I'm here because your my boss and I'd like to be your loyal secretary... or perhaps, the fact that I can't bear to see my boss like this, but it makes me feel horrible to not be with him at this time of dreadful conduct... or perhaps, the fact that even if you treat me like me which is trash, I still care about your well-being and I. Don't. Know. Why." Angela stated, wondering how she could have possibly said such a thing. Then again, her emotions were running strong.

Yet, she couldn't take it anymore. What she said was the complete truth.

She wasn't bluffing when she declared that she is feeling hurt for him or that she cared for him. All these emotions and statements were just plainly true.

Edgeworth didn't know how to feel. He was aware of the very rude approach he had towards Angela.

It was also revealed to him, how Angela actually felt about herself. And Edgeworth found it slightly heartbreaking, that she considers herself as junk and most he's ever done was make her feel like she was nothing more but just that. Junk.

Angela breathed in for a few seconds.

Then she tried to speak,

"Since you asked about what I was doing here, I came to say that I don't believe you murdered anyone. I couldn't even imagine it. I believe in your innocence... and nothing will change my mind." Angela spoke, trying to be as firm as she could be.

"Not even you." Angela continued.

What else could he do? Nothing. She caught him in the breeze of the moment. All he could do was stay silent.

Eventually, Angela stood up.

"I have an early shift at the library today. I have to go." She said, barely having the courage to be tough, when all she wanted to do was breakdown and cry.
