Now, let's get back to filly Applejack.

She walked toward the deformed tree, wondering what it was. Looking closer, she saw a door and windows. It was a house. She ran toward it, knocking on the door. Nopony answered. "It must be abandoned." She says, walking inside.

In there, she saw a bed, and many bottles on wooden shelves. "Wait, if its this full, someone must live here..." she said. Suddenly, she hears the door creak open. 'Uh-Oh.' Applejack thought. The lights were off, but she knew someone had come in.

"I hear nothing, though you know what? I think there is someone in my hut." said a strange voice. It spoke in a rhyme, making Applejack think of witches. Witches had potions. They spoke in rhyme to cast hexes and spells. They lived in mysterious places. They looked strange.

Applejack heard hooves, and then suddenly, a candle was lit. The pony holding the candle walked over. When they were close enough, Applejack saw her.

It was in fact a girl, but looked nothing like a pony. She was white and had black stripes all over her body. Applejack shrieked and blew out the candle.
