Sooji clutches her chest. She can feel the bandage under her hospital gown. Her left arm feels sore. She glances at her bandaged wrist and remembers."Shihyun ah..."

"Hmm..."

"Why are you here..."

"Where else would I be...", he looks at her softly.

"But...your mom...I..."

"Sshh...", Shihyun's stroking her hand gently. "What happened to my mom wasn't your fault, okay? My mom will eventually find out about that stupid place sooner or later...so stop blaming yourself..."

"But you left...", her voice is trembling.

"I am sorry...I know I shouldn't...but it was too much...I just needed a fresh air...so I went to a rooftop like I used to do...you know that right?"

Sooji nods. Shihyun told her about his habit years ago. "I thought....you left because...", she takes a deep breath and grimaced. Her chest hurts.

"Are you okay?", Shihyun looks at her worriedly. "I'll call your mom...", he takes his phone but Sooji stops him.

"I am okay..."

Shihyun sighs, she still as stubborn as ever. "I need to tell your mom that you're awake...she's really worried about you too..."

Sooji nods and lets Shihyun called her mom. "She'll be here in a minute..."

Sooji's mom shows up in less than a minute. "Oh, God...you're finally awake...", she caresses Sooji's cheek.

"Hi, Mom...", Sooji smiles faintly.

Her mom smiles back gratefully. "Let me check you now..."

Shihyun gets up to gives Sooji's mom space but Sooji's holding his hand and refused to let him go.

"I won't go anywhere...I am just..."

"It's okay Shihyun ah...you can stay there..."

Shihyun sits back and stroking Sooji's hand while her mom is checking her.

"Everything is good...the surgery to fix your broken heart is succeed..."

Thank God...", Shihyun feels so relieved.

"But she still needs a full month of bed rest..."

"A MONTH??", Sooji looks at her mom in disbelief. But her mom ignores her and talks to Shihyun instead.

"You know how stubborn she is right?", Shihyun nods. "Make sure she stays on her bed no matter what...okay?"

"Yes...Miss..."

"You're my daughter husband...you can call me Mom if you want to...", Sooji's mom smiles.

Shihyun looks at Sooji. "You don't have to if you don't want to...", Sooji says hurriedly. After everything that happened, she still isn't sure whether Shihyun still wants to be her husband or not and now her mom makes it worse.

"Yes mom...I'll take care of her...", Shihyun replies firmly. He knew what Sooji was thinking. And he wanted her to know that he won't change his mind.

Sooji is just starting at Shihyun. It sounds weird hearing him call her mom, Mom.

"Why? Do you mind?", Shihyun nudges her.

"Huh? No...it's just...weird...", she smiles awkwardly.

"Get used to it...I am your husband...so your mom is my mom...", Shihyun smirks. Sooji's blushing.

Sooji's mom chuckles seeing Sooji's pale face finally has a pink colour. "I'll leave you two alone...Sooji you should rest..."

"Thank you, Mom...", Shihyun smiles. His heart feels warm.
