Chapter 41

"How are you doing Sooji ah?", Shihyun's Dad asks.

"I am great Mr Kwon...", Sooji's smiles. Shihyun's Dad invited her, Shihyun and her Mom to dinner. And she prays tonight dinner won't turn to a disaster like all the dinner they had before.

"So...you can drink this now?", Shihyun's dad asks while pouring her a red wine.

"Yess...", Sooji grins.

"Noo...", Shihyun glares at her.

"But...", Sooji pouts.

Shihyun's Dad glances at Sooji's mom, asking for approval.

"Let her Shihyun ah...Just a glass, it's okay....", Sooji's mom smiles.

"YESSS!!!, Sooji smiles full of victory.

"Just a glass...", Shihyun warns her.

"Yess sir!", Sooji rolls her eyes and takes a sip of the wine.

Shihyun sighs. "Dad...while we gather...I want to tell you, that I will have my wedding with Sooji soon..."

"I think it's best for you too...when are you planning to hold your wedding?"

"Maybe next month..."

Sooji chokes on her red wine hearing Shihyun's answer. She's coughing uncontrollably.

"Are you okay?", Shihyun pats her back and gives her a glass of water. He's confused why she was so surprised.

After calming down and dawning a glass of water, she finally able to talk. "Yeah...I am fine...just drinking too fast...", but Sooji doesn't know what to say.

Shihyun is observing his wife. Still not convinced with her answer.

"A month is a short time...did you already plan the venue...the guests??"

"No...we want it to be a small wedding...only friends and family...", they've talked about this before. Both of them wanted the wedding ceremony to be private.

"But we need everyone to know about this...at least you need to invite all the shareholders..."

"Let them have their wedding as they wish...we can announce their marriage later...in a press conference or something like that...", Sooji's mom tries to help Shihyun.

His Dad sighs. "Okay...do as you two wish...", that's the least he can do after how he treated Shihyun all this time.

"Thanks, Dad..."

"You're oddly quiet tonight...", Shihyun watches Sooji doing her night skincare routine.

"Huh?", Sooji glances at Shihyun's reflection in the mirror. He's staring at her.  Waiting for an answer.

"Wanna share something?", he asks again, because Sooji didn't say a word.

"I am just surprised that you said that we're going to hold our wedding next month..."

"Why? Do you mind?"

"No...it's just...we never talked about this before..."

"What??"

Sooji sighs when she noticed he looks really offended.

"What do you mean we never talked about this?? We talked about this almost every night...about how you wanted our wedding...what kind of dress you wanted to wear..."

"Shihyun ah..."

"What? Don't tell me you change your mind..."

"No...of course not...", Sooji gets up and sits beside him on their bed.
