Chapter 4

Raven POV

"MAMA!" (y/n) cried as he ran to me in tears, "I know that fearful look!" I said as I pulled him behind me and prepared to draw my sword, "Grimm." I said coldly, "Venal watch him and keep him calm...ish." I said as I prepared to fight whatever terrible Grimm scared my son and within seconds the grimm came through the front gate, "That's...not what I was expecting." I said as I sheathed my blade and picked up the tiny bunny grimm, "I think it's about time for me to have a little talk to my son about fear." I said as I walked back to my tent.

"Vernal you may go." I said, "Yes ma'am." Vernal said as she left, "(y/n)." I said, "MAMA!" He cried as he tried to hug me, "No no you're in trouble." I said, "You made me think that grimm was far worse than it was. I thought another Beowulf attacked you and not some little bunny. Sure it might have bitten you, but that's no excuse for being weak." I said, "Now I'm willing to give you one final chance to prove to me that you're strong." I said earning a tear-filled confused look from him, "I want you to kill this." I said as I held up the bunny grimm making him back away in fear, "You must learn that while it's alright to fear the grimm it is not ok to let that fear control you. And besides, you need to learn that Mommy is one of the scariest things in this world." I said as I chained up the grimm. "You will not leave this tent until the grimm is dead and you no longer let fear control you." I said as I left.

<3 days later>

It's been three days and (y/n) has been testing the limits of my patience, "DIE!" I shouted from inside the tent, "Raven." Vernal said, "He finally figured it out." I said as (y/n) walked outside wielding a clone of my odachi. "Where did he get that?!" Vernal said, "Isn't it obvious my clone gave it to him." I said, "(y/n) come to Mommy." I said as he dropped the sword and ran to me, I picked him up, "You did very good sweetie, Mommy is very proud of you." I said as I kissed his forehead. "You've conquered your fear and because of this, you have become stronger." I said, "Did good?" He asked, "Yes sweetie you did very good." I said as I kissed his cheek.

Yang POV

"Hey Dad, um I...I lost (y/n). I took him to the bathroom and... I was right outside the stall door." I said as I began to tear up, "M...Maybe he ran away! Dad, we have to find him! I was hoping you could call uncle Qrow and ask him for help!" I said as I dried my eyes, "Thanks, Dad." I said as I hung up, "Yang we'll find him." Ruby said, "With the four of us as well as team JNPR looking for him it's only a matter of time before we find him. And if we can ask Sun and Neptune for help if we need to." Blake said, "You're right and I know that, but I'm still worried." I said.
