Chapter 9

Yang POV

"Why do I feel the unyielding urge to punch someone's teeth in?" I said, "Then try to punch your old man." Dad said cockily.

Raven POV

"Mama!" (y/n) shouted, "I swear to God if it's another rabbit!" I said, "Heavenly Judgement." a woman said as an arrow of light pierced the pole next to me and snapped it, "(Y/N) WHAT DID YOU DO DAMN IT?!" I snapped as I turned to face my next victim.

"Hello sinner, I am Angel, I have come to claim your tainted souls." she said, "Mama! Help!" (y/n) shouted as he clung to a tree high in its branches, "Now why'd you put him up there? Don't even try to lie to me and say you didn't. I know my kid, and I know the little scaredy-cat's too scared of heights to get up there himself." I said, "The boy will be joining me. Once all you sinners are dead and gone, I shall take him to the temple to become a holy paladin." she said, "(y/n), how the hell did you piss off the church again?!" I snapped, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN AGAIN?!" Vernal asked in shock, "The boy appeared to the great leader in a vision and it was on that glorious day that his fate was decided." she said, "BAD TOUCH!" (y/n) and I shouted, "You both are becoming predictable." Vernal said, suddenly it began raining fish on her, "YOU LITTLE BRAT! I'LL GET YOU FOR THAT!" she yelled, "The boy has the power of a god. He is the Messiah!" Angel said as she blushed violently, "I must work quickly. So please don't fight back too much, this is the will of God." she said as she drew a broken sword from behind her and made a blade of light.

She flew high into the air and vanished in the sun, suddenly she dove down and killed three of my men! 'She's quick!' I thought as I began to draw my sword, but I wasn't quick enough. Thankfully Vernal began firing at her while she flew at us deterring her from her attack, I drew my sword and slashed at her when she flew over us. "She's so damn annoying." I said angrily, "Such a foul mouth." Angel said as she stabbed me in the stomach, "I extinguished my holy blad, I dare not sully it with the blood of a demon like you." she said as I fell to my knees, 'When did she?! How is she that fast?' I thought as I put pressure on my wound.

(y/n) POV

I watched Angel hurt my Mama, I felt something snap deep inside me, all I could see was Angel everything else faded into the background, "Filthy pigeon!" I snapped angrily as I appeared between my mother and Angel, "Go away." I said coldly causing powerful winds to fling her into a tree, I created a dagger and prepared to kill her.

"DIE!" I snapped as I sprinted and stabbed into her chest, but her aura stopped my blade from penetrating her skin. "Silly boy, I'll let you play for a bit longer. It's always a good thing to make time for the children." Angel said as I teleported back to Mama, "Final..." I said as two orbs of energy appeared in my hands, "FLASH!" I shouted as I fired the massive blast at Angel, "I'm afraid that won't work. My semblance allows me to control all forms of light. I am Angel of Divine Light. I've honed my semblance and evolved it to the point of mastery." she said as she absorbed the attack into her blade, I took a breath and enveloped my dagger in black energy, "Mugetsu." I said coldly as I slashed creating a deep cut in the ground and causing thousands of trees to vanish instantly, but she dodged, "That was a good try, but...", "HOLLOW PURPLE!" I shouted as a ball of dark energy flew at her, "I am growing tired of this, little one." she said as she flew high into the air, I teleported the attack behind her and made it hit her right wing erasing nearly all the feathers. She fell to the ground and looked at me in fear, "THAT'S ENOUGH!" she snapped, suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my neck and I fainted.

Raven POV

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Angel snapped as she knocked out (y/n) as scarlet flames shot from her eyes, "So you're a maiden." I said, "I am the summer maiden, however, I hate the thought of using this cursed power. It comes from the Dark Goddess' spawn. It is tainted and evil." she said as I used my maiden powers to cauterize my wound, "Evil? Well, I won't say she's not that, but the Maidens, maybe, maybe not who's to say?" I said as I grabbed my sword and red flames erupted from my eyes, "It figures that a demon like you would have the cursed power of a Maiden." she said coldly, "You got me last time, and I doubt that I could beat you on my own while you're at full strength." I said as I raised my blade, "But you're not at full strength anymore. And I'm pissed off." I said as I appeared behind her and cut her right arm and wing off, "Now be a good girl and die." I said coldly as I picked (y/n) up and walked into my tent using my sword to keep my balance. 

Angel POV

I cauterized my wounds and returned to the temple. "Well well, look who's back." a woman said, "M-MOTHER SUPERIOR!" I said in shock as I looked at her.

I looked next to her and found several heretics dead on the ground with stab wounds through their throats. "Come here my child, I will heal you." she said. I approached her and she used her semblance to reattach my lost arm and wing and returned my lost feathers. "Mother, I believe I found the Messiah. He is a little boy with the Branwen Tribe." I said, "Then I shall retrieve him and see if what you say is true." she said.
