Chapter 30

Mason POV

I woke up to a bunch of yelling and crying but it wasn't from any of us. I get up and look out in the hallway and don't see anyone. Few minutes later Aiden is doing the same thing and we look at each other. We head towards the sound and see its coming from Graysons room.

I go to knock on his half opened door to see him on the floor holding Tanner. He notices us standing there and I give him the what the fuck look and he just shakes his head no. I mouth what the hell happened and without alarming Tanner that he had an audience Grayson more or less told us to get out and go back to bed.

I have known Tanner my entire life,  have never seen him like that. Aiden and I were heading back to my room when we bumped into our mom. 

"Stay in your room,  this doesn't concern either one of you. Please respect his privacy. Your dad and I are doing our jobs."

"Why is Gray involved?"

"Not now boys. When things settle down we will talk but for now stay out of it."

I pull Aiden into my room and throw my hands up in the air.

"Dude what the hell just happened? How did Gray end up involved in whatever is going on?"

"They are best friends you know. It's not that Grayson is directly involved he just probably knows things and a lifeline for Tanner right now."

"Did you hear the yelling from outside,  I didn't catch all of it so I only caught the ending."

I woke up to Grayson pushing Tanner back towards the house and watched dad arrest some lady. By the sounds of it I think it was Tanners mom.

"Yeah a little bit of it. Tanner got into some sort of fight with I think his mom and then dad arrested her. But there has to be more to it with the state that he's in right now."

It was almost 4 am at this point so I tried to text Eden.

"Yo sis,  I don't know what happened with your boy but shit just got real at the house."

I wasn't expecting her to get it anytime soon,  but it immediately went to read.

"It's not my story to tell but have him or Gray call me. Better yet facetime me and bring phone to them."

"They are a little busy and Gray just kicked me and Aiden out and mom told us to stay put. What the hell did he do?"

"He didn't do anything and I can't talk to you about this here I'm going to Facetime you."

Before I could respond my phone went off and I picked up.  If I didn't she would just keep calling.

"Say hi to Aiden he's right here. "

"Hey, now go bring them the phone. I'm not kidding with you Mason. "

"Rude."

"Maybe and I'm sorry but don't have time or patience for this right now. And besides you're the one who texted me in the middle of the night to tell me something happened. So enough with the games everybody is shutting you out for a reason now please bring them the phone."

"Okay damn,  if I get hit i blame you."

"Grayson isn't going to put hands on you."

Eden POV

I haven't been able to sleep since I got off the phone with Tanner. This part of him he doesn't like to talk about and hides it from everyone.

I guess I should be grateful he feels comfortable enough and trust me enough to break down and not care I'm there. He seeks comfort from me and I take pride in that.
