Those Eyes

Chapter 5

Last period was Chemistry with Mr Alpen. He was a chilled out teacher who didn't really care what you do as long as you grades are good at the end of the day. He gets a bonus for every "A" students get on their test. All the students come in, bursting the door frame with excitement. After all the squeezing, there stood one girl, walking in alone. Immediately, Sky's blood began to boil.

"Calm down, meet me at the back of the field at 8pm, but come in Blue, not physically. Don't tell anyone." Rose mind linked to Sky. He tried to communicate back, but failed as she cut off the line.

"Hey, you ok dude?" Mauve asked, snapping him out of his daze.

"Yeah yeah, I'm fine, let's just get on with this class."

Chemistry dragged on forever. They were watching a documentary about chemical bonds and isotopes. They were supposed to be answering questions about the documentary, but everyone was on their phones, eating sweets and gossiping about who kissed who. But Sky was so focused on finding out one thing. What did Rose want from him? But why did he feel a connection to her, like he's known her forever, even if they only met today. All answers would be answered at 8pm.

7:45pm. 15 minutes to go. Sky was a nervous wreck. He tried doing his homework, but kept looking at the clock. Seconds felt like minutes, minutes felt like hours, hours felt like years. But finally he decide to get a move on and go back to face this mysterious girl.

He closed his eyes and split his body into two, except no one could see his other half. He set his visible half to do homework, and quickly went to school.

He stood there, waiting, looking every couple of seconds at his watch. 7:59pm. 1 minute to go. He started getting impatient. He looked around the lonesome field, but no one was to be found. Just as he was about to leave, Rose appeared out of no where.

"Jeez, no need to make so much noise." Sky said startled.

"Sorry, thought you could sense it, you know, being the prince of the Eyes and all." Rose said abruptly.

"What are you talking about?" Sky questioned.

"Oh, like you don't know that your dad is the King of the Eyes now."

"I do know that, but what do you mean now?"

"Do you really not know the story of the Red's? Have they really taught you nothing during the hours of duties and learning the history of the kingdom your father makes you do?" Rose said, completely startled by Sky's lack of knowledge. Sky was just as startled by how much she knows. He catches himself and replies.

"I know that your kind was dangerous, so the kingdom killed them to protect not just the Eyes, but humanity too."

"That is partially true, but it seems like you've been mind wiped. I'm going to show you the real story." Rose said, going in to reach Sky's hand.

"What do you think you are doing?" Sky says, backing away from Rose.

"Trust me, this is the only way, plus it's pretty fun" Rose answers. She holds out her hand, waiting for Sky to take it. Hesitantly, Sky takes it, hoping something good will come out of it.
