Those Eyes

Chapter 13

"Rose is fighting ... herself?" Asks Eve in confused by the situation.

"That's not her. That is the part of her that makes her a true Red. Her alternate conscience." Sky says rushing over to wake Rose up from yet another nightmare. As she wakes, a small wave of energy is released. Esmeralda shields the humans before it can get to them. The energy is toxic to humans if its pure energy hits them, with small doses, Eyes won't be effected as badly from it.

"What happened?" Rose says regaining consciousness. She look at all the faces staring at her, then looks at Sky for an answer.

"Did I hurt anyone?" She asks, stumbling a little but as she tries to walk to him. Sky goes in to catch her, but Rose refused his help. He stepped back, looking hurt by her actions. There was a pause of awkward silence, when Esmeralda spoke out.

"Everyone's fine, nothing too bad happened." She lied.

"Thanks Esmeralda, we better all get going." Rose says, about to leave the Red Realm. She tries to go, but fails. She tries again, still fails.

"Sorry Rose, we can't let you go." Mauve said with sadness. He was the one who had to block her out from the human world.

"Let me out!" Rose says still trying, growing angrier with each failed attempt.

"We are really sorry Ro, but we can't, you are too dangerous in the human world and you can get us all exposed." Esmeralda pleaded.

"I am not the one who brought humans here" Rose says pointing at Eve and Holly. "I can control myself."

"No you can't. I saw you stop time just before you had a complete power meltdown. If Mauve didn't bring you here, who knows what destruction you could have caused." Sky says breaking his silence.

"That was one time. And it's not my fault, you are the one who wouldn't stop going on about being my soul-mate." Esmeralda gasps as she hears what her best friend said.

"Well I'm not the one running away, am I? At least I can see what my destiny is." Sky said before he could stop his thoughts running out his mouth. He stood there frozen, regretting every word he just said.

"Really? At least my dad isn't a murderer." Rose said her eyes flickering crimson red. Everyone took a step back, away from Rose and Sky.

"You know, you can't keep me here, this is my turf." As Rose says that, she tries one more time to get out, but she has a rope around her. A purple rope. Then comes a green rope. She turns around to see Mauve and her best friend, her only friend keeping her from using her powers. Before she could do anything, a blue rope comes around too. They all were teaming against her, keeping her there. She doesn't want to fight, but she doesn't have a choice if she wants to get out. She breaks free from the ropes, send a path of destruction with it. Sky, Mauve and Esmeralda all fall back from the tension, but send waves of magic to save the humans. They make it just in time.

"Everyone ok?" Esmeralda asks.

"Yeah, but where did she go?" Holly asks.

They all look around, but no sign of Rose. As if she disappeared into thin air.
