Shen Yi's eyebrow lifted as he put his hands and feet up, avoiding Su Chen's murderous glare and, even more murderous, knife.
"Wifey. I was just rocking him to sleep."
The mama bear stomped over like a demoness.
"Don't "wifey" me. You think I don't know that you have been putting Ming'er to sleep in various positions??"
Shen Yi smiled and edged himself to the window.
"Wifey, you don't understand. This is how we jianghu people train our younglings. We train them to get used to the different terrains and positions. It's part of the path of great martial artists."
"I dont want to hear this from a pribce who grew up in the imperial palace!"
"An unloved prince," Shen Yi helpfully pointed out.
"A prince nonetheless! Who was probably carried around by a nursing mama!"
Shen Yi feigned great sorrow as he clutched his heart in mock agony.
"Wifey. You don't know the pain I've been through. To live in the heartless palace... With no one at my side. Continuous attempted assassinations. No mother and father to care for me. Sorrow. Agony."
With glimmering tears, he choked the words out.
"You don't know! You won't understand."
Right at that moment, Jun Qiang waltzed in.
"Master! The bird's nest for Young Master is ready! This bird's nest is not inferior to the one you always used to eat in the palace! My goodness, you were the fattest child and baby in the palace for a long while. Who told you to be so well-loved by the eunuchs, mamas, and palace maids? Shen Yi turned to look at the window.

He jumped off.
"SHEN YI! PUT YOUR SON BACK DOWN!"
Jun Qiang was left surprised, holding a white bowl of bird nest porridge in his hands.
