Sky blinked, the sound of crackling fire and the smell of blood distracting her from Zeldris's words. She heard him, but she didn't understand what he wanted her to do or more why he wanted her to do it.

"Tell them the truth Skylar." He droned. Sky blinked away memories that began to surface, memories of old Meliodas, of her siblings, of her true identity. She hated it. She hated how she came to be, at least here.

"No...please Zeldris just let them be-" She was interrupted by a ball of power being zapped past her. It was filled with her worst nightmares, she stared at it in horror as it absorbed into Meliodas's head. Her eyes widened as his eyes glazed over, he stood up muttering under his breath.

"S-Skylar...you I-" He was speechless as all the distinct memories began to flood into his head. Sky hid her face in her hair, unable to comprehend why this was happening to her.

"Desteria..." He whispered, Sky flinched at her real name. She looked up, and anger bubbled in her, she turned to Zeldris in a glare.

"You want them to know the truth, fine." She seethed. She muttered words under her breath as her weapon formed into another scythe, it was more rustic, older and familiar. The sins looked confused, Meliodas held his head down.

"M-My name isn't Skylar... I am Desteria... I am Death of the Legendary Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse... I am the next bride of the Demon King and I rebelled against it for...for him!" Everyone looked to Meliodas, who was speechless. Everyone was in disbelief because they had just learned that she was more powerful than any of them combined.

"I have been cursed for my sins, and had to watch this bastard do what he did to me all those years ago over and over again." Sky was crying, as the emotions of centuries began to spill out of her.

"I-I can't do this anymore. I've watched him pick her over me for centuries, and then I have to revive her myself. All those years ago, I rebelled against the Demon King because I had fallen in love with him and then when we were to run away together he met her." She cried as she approached the team, tears streaming down her face.

"I was punished for his mistake. I sacrificed myself for them. They escaped with their souls intact and a pieces of my own should reside with the Demon King because I held the door open so that he could be happy. Now, I'm damned to watch this happen for eternity!" She sobbed, the sins cried for their friend. She had been through so much pain, and the little happiness she had was ripped away from her.

"I can't do this anymore. If I leave, I will be saving everyone. If I get married with who they want me to marry, this curse will end and you'll be happy Meliodas." She whispered, Meliodas was also crying. The memories of all her efforts back in his head replaying all the times she confesses and then his rejection.

"Sky, don't do this. They are tricking you! You're going to believe them!?" Meliodas argued, he looked into her eyes but he didn't see the person he knew. Instead he looked into the eyes of a person who had given up, who was tired and just wanted to be happy. Meliodas was in disbelief, he had done this to her.

At one point his life those eyes would melt his heart. Those eyes made him fall in love with her, they still do, so why does he chose the wrong person every time? Why is he the idiot that breaks her heart over and over if he is also in love with her. Why couldn't he just admit that he loved her more than he loved Elizabeth? Was it because he was comfortable with loving someone lesser than him? Was it because Elizabeth needs him to protect her, but Skylar doesn't?
