"I'll be back soon, okay Poppy? Hold the fort down for me?" The silverette asked with a large toothy grin.
"But big sister! Why can't I come with you?" Asked the youngest, tears welling up in her eyes. The eldest eyes softened as she opened her arms for her youngest sibling.
"Because this might be dangerous..."
Oh how right she was....
...
The building stood quiet as a green haired girl scurried around the library looking for more books to entertain herself with. Stepping onto a ladder, she searched for a large leather binded book. Having read it before, she was erking to read it again, it's long prophescies and heart warming legends thrilled her to her core."Where could it be!? I know I put it back on the shelf!? Oh no... ah- ah- AH- AHHH CHUU!!!" And with that her search came to a painful end as her body plummeted down the ladder. She laid there, unwilling to move out.
"Oh jeez, my allergies are acting up again..." She moaned rubbing her sinuses. Suddenly the room was lit up with a strange white light. The girl stood up straight looking beyond the shelves of books.
"The soul port..." She mumbled under her breath. Slowly she approached the portal looking into the bright light with squinted eyes.
Within the bright light came two people, one with familiar power and another with minimal power. The girl hid behind a chair, waiting until that trasportation stopped.
Once the bright light ceased, there stood two people. One with inky back hair and another with shining silver strands. The girl's eyes widened as she came out of her hiding spot, slowly looking to the two newcomers as they adjusted to the darkness of the room.
"Desi? Is that you?" Suddenly the silverette's rubied eyes flicker towards the voice. It's sweet intoxicating familiarity enveloping her like a warm summer day. With a smile and faint tears she nodded, stepping off the platform and towards her with open arms.
"Yeah Poppy, it's me." Her voice cracked, raw emotion surfacing within her as she smiled at her youngest sibling. Her baby sister. With a cry, Poppy ran into her arms embracing her in a bone crushing hug. Desteria stood still as her sister sobbed in her shoulder, raking her fingers through her light green hair.
2, 176 years
That's how long she had been separated from her family, from her kingdom, from her throne and from herself.
Poppy couldn't believe her sister was back, after all these years she was finally back. As the sisters cried in each other's embrace soft clicking sounds of footsteps rung outside the room.
"Poppy! Warren need us to-" The voice halted as his eyes trailed to the two sisters. His heart stopped for a split second as he tried to process what he was looking at.
"Desi?" He blethered in disbelief.
The silverette's ruby eyes flickered up as her tears soaked passed her smile. Slowly rising from the ground she slowly approached him. Once in front of him she opened her arms, the boy hesitated as he eyed her passed his pale blue hair. He was frozen in awe, his sister was back... Suddenly the she was engulfed in an embrace, as the boy bear hugged her lifting her off the ground laughing in joy.
