I want to thank you.

I want to thank you for things I never should be thankful for.

I want to thank you for every moment that you ruined.

I want to thank you for breaking me into a million pieces.

I want to thank you for trying to make me believe I deserved it.

I want to thank you for the pain I felt.

But I will never thank you for these.

I will thank you for proving that I am stronger than you.

I will thank you for being the stepping stone I needed to become me.

I will thank you for the few precious moments in-betweens that I learned from.

I will thank you for proving even with a million cracks I can become whole again.

I will thank you for teaching me to avoid others like you.

I will thank you for the path you paved without knowing.

So, thank you for creating me now because though I want to toss you into a pit of lava or acid whichever, I won't because I like the me, I am now.

I love that I am stronger than you will ever be and that you no longer have any power over me.

I love these scars I have now, they remind me of the lessons you engraved in me. They are my proof that you cannot kill the me I am today.
