𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 nala is very headstrong; they're never one to back down from a difficult task and they're confident in their abilities. they're very studious; loves to learn and loves to learn about anything. they're loyal to their crew and will fight to keep everyone safe and alive. they're responsible for their tasks and assignments, always making sure they are done and done correctly. 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 nala grew up on betazed with their father (tokov) though they spent much of their time at the academy. they loved to learn about the planets scattered about the galaxy and told their instructors that they dreamed of joining starfleet and exploring space. they told them to think realistically, but they didn't give up. they worked their butt off to get their name out there, and when they aged out of the betazed academy, they applied for and were accepted into the starfleet academy. their father was extremely proud of them and saw them off as they left their planet to head for san francisco. they piled up federation history classes and fell in love with xenolinguistics. uhura took nala under her wing and they excelled. they became uhura's second in command on the bridge and they haven't looked back since. 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐒 ‣ nala was assigned to the uss enterprise when they completed their schooling at starfleet academy ‣ they got their nickname when people realized they had much in common with captain kirk, and when they saw how close they are with uhura
