𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 akela is a fiery young woman. she has a sharp tongue and an even sharper mind. she's very extroverted, gets along well with everyone and is often told she is too flirty for her own good. she loves to learn and takes her schooling very seriously. she's a bit of a realist, not always thinking of the bright side but never finding herself in dark thoughts. her bright personality left her with tons of friends and her fair share of boyfriends. she's not a quitter, no matter what you throw at her, she is determined to finish with her chin up. 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 akela grew up on the island of oahu with her parents and an older sister (nohea). she loved the afternoons on the beach and learning to surf with her dad. she loved to learn, and her favorite subject was science, particularly anatomy. she loved to dance, making the dance team in her first three years of high school, but eventually went on to love medicine, and made her goal medical school. however, she met a boy in her junior year and thought that he was the one. they clicked instantly and the chemistry was insane. they were intimate and over their heads. when akela's period was late, she panicked. she took a pregnancy test, and then came to her boyfriend crying. he denied everything ("i'm not ready for a kid!" - "and you think i am?!") and ran off, cutting communication. she had no idea what to do with herself and the sack of cells growing inside of her. after talking with her mom and her grandmother, she decided to keep the kid, and nine months later, her daughter kalea was born. akela quit the dance team to focus on her daughter and her schooling. she graduated at the top of her class and made her parents proud by getting into her top choice med-school. she's ready to take on the world with kalea. 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒 fuzzy blankets, the ocean, surfing, old music, earrings, dancing, dogs 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒 people who make assumptions about her, clutter, being late, prejudice, bad movies based on good books, cold weather, changing diapers
