²⁸ | when you're jealous

(Y/N)'s POV

I have never felt this emotion before, lets be honest, I'm not the type of person to get jealous when your boyfriend hangs out with his female bestfriend, which is also my bestfriend, Mina.

He was with Mina, like always, I didn't really care. But this time, I was jealous. He was laughing and smiling a lot more than usual, which I like, but he's never this happy around Mina. It feels as if they're dating or something which makes me jealous.. very jealous. I'm trying not to show it but—

"(Y/N)! You have to focus." Said Iida as he pushed up the bridge of his glasses. Izuku was also in our group, he was agreeing with Iida. I looked down at what I was writing, but the paper was burned. "A-agh! What happened?!" I frantically questioned as I picked up my paper and looked at it. "It seems you're not aware, so you might've accidentally activated your quirk." Stated Iida as he continued writing. "Yeah, are you okay?" Izuku asked, I immediately nodded. "I'm fine, just.." I said as I looked as Kirishima's group and back down at my paper. "Now I have to rewrite itttt!!" I whined as I grabbed another piece of paper. "And It's burned so I have to start from scratch.." I stated as I started writing away. But my ears got filled with both of their voices and laughs, causing my fire element to take place of my hand. "A-ah!!" I yelled out as I dropped my pencil and raised my hand up, "It happened again!!"

Iida sighed, "whatever is going on, you need to concentrate on the work given!" He said doing his weird hand motions. I nodded, "Y-yeah..". I picked back up my pencil and started writing away.

I tried to avoid looking at them, but I couldn't help it. I looked up again, but this time, I made eye contact with Mina. I immediately broke my gaze away from her and back down at my paper. I continued writing. Oh god what if he lost interest in me.. and like my best friend now?! I frantically thought. Memories from the past flooded into my thoughts and I began to shake as I wrote. "H-hey, (Y/N), are you okay? Y-you're shaking.." Midoriya said as he pointed at my hand. "O-oh, just memories.." I frantically said as I let go of my pencil and got up. "I need to use the bathroom, sorry.." I said as I walked to the door and exited the library. I walked to the bathroom, turning a few corners.

I sat down on the couch of the main room/dorm living room and immediately went to google on my phone. My fingers typed away what was on my mind, how to be the best girlfriend. A few articles popped up and I saved them so I can read it. I started off with the first one. I started reading into it, making a few occasional "mhm" or "ok"s.

I was about to watch a video until I felt someone pat my head, I immediately turned off my phone and looked to my side, then up. I saw my smiling boyfriend, "Hey Cookie!" He exclaimed. I smiled at him, "Hi!", I said. Kirishima walked around the couch and sat next to me. "I need to talk to you, Cookie.." he said as his tone changed, I saw sympathy in his eyes. I immediately started trembling, "O-Oh jeez.. are you gonna b-break-up with m-me??" I frantically said as I started fiddling with my thumbs. I looked down at my hands that were on my lap. "Hey! No! I just wanna ask why you seemed off today after our projects in the library!" He said and I immediately looked up at him, "O-oh! Sorry for assuming.." I stuttered as I smiled sweetly at him. "So...?" He urged for an answer. "It's nothing!" I lied as I gave him an okay smile. He shook his head, "you burned your paper once. Almost twice!" He exclaimed. I hesitated before answering, "I— I think I was jealous of you and Mina.." I admitted as I looked down. He placed his thumb under my chin. He slightly lifted up my head to meet his gaze. "You shouldn't be jealous, nothing is ever gonna make me not love you!" He said as he placed his soft lips on mine. I moved mine against his.

I pulled away and smiled at him, "Yeah.." I agreed. We started talking about other things, we of course got sidetracked. Haha.
