²⁹ | when you spend valentines together

(Y/N)'s POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, it was the day of valentines, which landed on a Friday. The day of love, or at least for me, something I kinda hated due to all the lovey-dovey things on this day, but this time, it's different. I think I might enjoy Valentines day now that I have Kirishima with me..

I got changed in a red and white striped- collared shirt and some white ripped jeans. I put on some red sneakers that had about an inch of complete platform. I wore a cute heart necklace to match my outfit.

I picked up a cute bento with a written note I made for Kirishima and placed it in the bag with his Valentines gift, which consisted of chocolate in a heart box and a little shark plushie, which was absolutely adorable!!

I stepped outside of my house and walked to school. My eyes would occasionally scan the area for him so I can give him the gift and celebrate valentines day with him. Of course, I failed to find him. I sadly sighed and sat on a nearby bench, I pulled out my phone and dialed Kirishima's number.

After a few seconds of waiting, he responded but refused to facetime, which is fine. 

"Kiri, where are you? I'm trying to find you right now!!" I exclaimed as I slightly pouted. As soon as he replied, my eyes widened. "I'm busy right now, maybe later?". I nodded, "yeah okay!" I replied as he hung up the phone.

I walked to the school to enter the dorms before Mina jumped out in front of me, her arms spread open, "HANG OUTT!!" She exclaimed as she hugged me tightly. I laughed as she released me from her hug, "Sure, but I need to hang out with Kirishima later, alright?" I said as I placed my free hand on my hip.

She rapidly nodded and grabbed my wrist, she dragged me to a fast food place and I smiled. We sat down and Mina went up to "order".

Mina's POV

"Kirishima! I'm in the restroom right now, operation A is in progress, I'm stalling!!" I whisper yelled as I was in the girls restroom. "Thats good, Ill send you a message when I'm ready, remember the address is at the pretty park with fairy lights hanging from trees! It also has that fancy bridge over a small pond with lights! Remember that!!" Kirishima exclaimed as I nodded and jumped up and down, "she'll never see that coming!" I exclaimed as I stopped jumping. "Ok, she'll get suspicious, so I have to go! I already ordered. Also, she has this kind of bag in her hand, probably your gift.." I spilled as I hung up. I shoved my phone into my pocket and ran out the bathroom to the table, where the food we ordered was already set down.

(Y/N)'s POV

I saw Mina walking and I smiled at her, she had her hands behind her back but she sprung into the chair. I laughed at her actions as she seemed extremely happy, "You have a valentines or something?!" I questioned her as I shifted in my seat and grabbed a chicken nugget from the tray. I bit into the chicken nugget as Mina reached for fries. "Nope! Just happy like always!!" She exclaimed and bit into the handful of fries she had. I laughed, "okay then~" I teased.

Mina acted suspicious, every time I wanted to call Kirishima to meet up or leave she would drag me somewhere else and avoid the topic, this time I didn't budge. "Mina." I stated in a serious tone as I crossed my arms over my chest, "I know somethings wrong, you drag me whenever I talk about leaving and calling Kiri to hang out with him." I said as I shifted onto my right leg. Mina started panicking, which was very clear, "N-no!!" She stammered as she frantically waved her hands in front of herself, I laughed at how I had basically called her out. Her phone got a notification, most likely a message due to her vibration pattern for messages. I knew it very well, but she ran to me and grabbed my phone. She handed it to me with Kirishima's call ID on the phone. She signaled me to call him and I smiled, "So something was going on~!" I exclaimed as I called Kirishima's number, he immediately picked up. "Hey come to (address of park) right now! It's a bit dark but I have a surprise for you!" He exclaimed, I could feel his smile radiating through the call, "Yeah! I'll be there in a moment, it's pretty close. See you! Muah!" I said as I hung up after hearing his goodbye. I smiled, "So, your job was to stall, huh?" I guessed as she nodded and twirled her pink hair. I laughed, "Okay.. I'll see you tomorrow then, alright?" I assured as I headed towards the exit of the mall we were at.

I arrived at the park with beautiful light hanging from trees. I saw a lit up bridge over a small pond, I immediately walked over to it. My jaw dropped at the beauty of the scene before me, I lightly smiled before turning back around only to be met by my boyfriend's soft lips on mine.

He pulled away and I just stood there in shock due to him catching me by surprise. "Kiri!" I exclaimed and engulfed him in a hug, his arms wrapped around me in a loving form. "Hi cookie~! Happy Valentines Day!" He exclaimed as he pulled away from the hug and gave me a gift bag. "Aww, this is so cute!" I exclaimed as I took a peek inside the bag. I handed him the gift I got for him.

He opened the bag and his eyes lit up as he pulled out the shark plushie, "Thats so cool!" He exclaimed as he admired the plushie held in his hands. I laughed at his reaction as he placed the plushie back in the bag. "Thank you!" He thanked me as I smiled, "Mhm! Thank you, too!" I said as I placed my lips on his. He kissed me back and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled into the kiss before we pulled away.

"It's pretty here, how come I've never heard of this place?" I asked as I admired the scenery and the pond below the bridge. How the lanterns on the bridge went with the lily pads that surfaced over the water, and how the fairy lights complimented everything, I smiled fondly at the sight before turning back to my red-haired boyfriend who laced his fingers with mine.

We walked off the bridge and started to walk around the park, "It's so pretty here.." I stated as I looked around and back on the small, paved concrete path on the ground.

We found a nearby bench and sat down, as I took in the scent of lavender and flowers. I placed my gift bag down next to me.

I rested my head on Kirishima's shoulder as our hands met once more. Kirishima glanced and me, then the sky. "I'm lucky to have you, thank you for being mine.." he sweetly said as he lifted my head up to meet his gaze. He pressed a kiss to my forehead and smiled, "Oh, how lucky I am.."

We had walked home after the park, Kirishima laid on my bed. Slight snores came from him, which were absolutely adorable. I smiled as I turned off my phone and got ready to sleep. He had stayed at my house since my mom wasn't over and it was very late out.

I saw him shift in his sleep as I laid down in front of him, his arms found a way around my waist, in which pulled me closer to him. I felt his warmth radiating onto me and I smiled, his arms felt like home and so did his smile. He gave me a feeling of security and protection from problems. I smiled at this feeling. I ran my fingers through his soft, un-gelled/un-spiked hair. I pressed a kiss to his forehead and closed my eyes, I drifted off to sleep..
