Chapter 5: A Brand New Outfit

Upon returning to Route 2 and crossing a bridge that had previously been blockaded by another group of Abyssal Cultists, Lillie battled a Miner named Thomas who had been laid off from work in some cavern by Hekate Town.

Next, Lillie battled her way through the Cyan Cavern, strengthening her team and evolving Toto into Croconaw. Along the way, the blonde teenager picked up a Magnet and a Great Ball.

Once they saw the exit, Lillie and Blossom raced into Suntouched City together.

Wandering the lower level of the city, Lillie picked up two Super Potions and a Heart Scale. She also received three Friend Balls and a Moon Stone from a few of the residents, and a Normal Gem from a Trainer's Skitty. She then stopped by the Pokémon Center to heal her team.

Upon entering, Lillie was stunned at how big the Pokémon Center in Suntouched was. It even had a clothing store!

Looking down at the jumpsuit she woke up in, Lillie cringed. Up until now, she never gave a second thought to how badly she needed a change of clothes.

As the blonde teenager wandered the clothing section, a pastel pink jacket and baby blue dress caught her eye. She even found a pair of gray knee high socks, a pair of white flats with white bows, and a teardrop necklace to match. She paid for everything and changed into her brand new outfit.

As she stared at herself in the mirror, Lillie smiled to herself.

"What do you think, Blossom?"

"Saur!"

Lillie giggled. "I knew you'd like it."

All of a sudden, someone bumped into her.

"Hey!" Lillie exclaimed in both shock and annoyance.

"Oh, oh, I'm so sorry!"

Lillie turned around to see a pale skinned young boy around her age. He was wearing a gray and orange middle sleeve shirt, red shorts, gray knee high socks identical to Lillie's, and tan sneakers. He had orange eyes and fiery and slightly messy orange hair.

"It's fine."

The boy's orange eyes lit up. "Lillie? Is that you?" He then threw his arms around Lillie, hugging her tightly. "Oh, Lillie, it's been so long!"

Lillie stiffened. Just who was this boy and how did he know her?

"Uh..." Lillie said. "I don't know you. So what gives?"

"Huh?!" The boy pulled back from Lillie in shock. "You don't remember?! It's me, Orion! Remember? We were very close when we were kids. I became the Suntouched Gym Leader last year."

"Orion... Hmmm. Nice to meet the Gym Leader, but I can't say I remember you."

At that moment, a lost memory returned to Lillie.

Flashback: Unknown town; eight years ago

"Lillie!"

A five year old Lillie turned around to see her close friend, Orion, running toward her.

"Orion!" Lillie hugged her friend.

"My parents said I can come over and play with you and Adrien!"

"Awesome! Let's go inside and get him!"

With that, the two laughing children ran into Lillie's house to get Adrien.

End Flashback

"O-Orion...?" Lillie's emerald eyes sparkled with joy. "Orion! Oh, it really is you!" She threw her arms around her childhood friend, and Orion embraced Lillie in return.
