Upon passing through the cave she and Damian had explored earlier and picking up a Full Heal and a Great Ball along the way, Lillie arrived in Midna Town.
Just like in Telnor, the people of Midna Town were friendly. A Black Belt told her about the races in Sonata City, and a female Scientist provided a fun fact on the Pokémon Electrode.
Lillie picked up several items in the town, like two Great Balls, a Super Potion, a Leftovers from a Trainer's Floatzel, and a Psychic Gem from another Trainer's Unown. She even caught a Rotom that came out of a TV, naming it Plasma.
Upon reaching the Trainer's School, Lillie saw a blonde woman who appeared to be the teacher pacing around the classroom.
"Where is that girl? Has she run off again? I don't care how good a Trainer she is, she knows she's supposed to be here! Where could she have gone off to now? We can't start without her!"
After ignoring a rude kid boasting over how he doesn't associate with newbies, Lillie picked up a Premier Ball off an empty desk and spotted Damian.
"Hey, Damian! What's up?"
"Oh, Lillie! I'm so glad you made it! Hey... you should participate in the tournament! It'll be a great way to improve our skills!"
"Great idea, Damian! I'll talk to the teacher and sign up."
"Awesome!"
Lillie spotted the teacher up front and approached her.
"Hello, Miss."
"Whoa!" The teacher turned around, startled. "Oh, why hello there! Welcome to the Midna Town Trainer School. I'm Amélie Riddle, the teacher here. I'm hoping to raise young boys and girls to become expert battlers and even better citizens! If you take classes here, I'll be happy to teach you what I know! Would you like me to sign you up?"
"Yes, please!"
"Awesome! And your name is...?"
"Lillie, Miss Riddle."
"Ok, then, Lillie," Amélie wrote Lillie's name on her a clipboard. "You're all set! We're just about to start the tournament! I'm so glad you joined. It'll be a great way to practice and improve! Unfortunately, one of our students, Nora, seems to have gone missing. We can't start the tournament without her, so I'm afraid you'll have to wait."
"Don't worry, Miss Riddle. I'll find her for you."
Amélie beamed. "Really? Thank you so much!"
"You're welcome. I'll be back with Nora as soon as possible!"
The blonde teenager left to train at Route 1 before heading into where she instinctively knew Nora would be: Midna Mine.
Along the way, Lillie battled the Trainers in the mine and found items like an Escape Rope, a Super Potion, a Full Heal and an Awakening. She eventually came across a green haired girl with the Legendary Pokémon Celebi.
"All right, the fossils are in place! You can do it, Celebi! I believe in you! Move these fossils through time!"
"I'm on it, Nora!" Celebi responded.
Lillie's jaw dropped. Did Celebi just talk?!
"Use Tesseract!"
Lillie watched in awe as Celebi levitated the fossils into the air and moved them through time with her power, bathing the room in a bright green glow. When the green light faded, Lillie was astonished to see that the fossils had become Pokémon!
The now-identified Nora squealed in delight. "You did it! I'm so proud of you!" She clapped her hands together. "I can't believe it. All of our hard work finally paid off! Armaldo, Bastiodon, Kabutops, and Omastar... Wow. Whoever thought they'd see the light of day again?" She looked back to Celebi. "You can turn them back now, Celebi. I think we're done for the day."
