"Just so you know" I start, a small smile parading across my bruised lips as he raises his brow with a small smirk.
"This doesn't change the fact that you're an asshole."
Alec immediately breaks out into a laughter at my remark, his forehead momentarily shifting back from mine as he bellowed out into the sky. After a moment Alec's laughter dies down, as he composes himself; our eyes reconnect, the both of us yet again falling into the allure of one another.
We both remained silent, still pressed against one another, doing nothing but gazing at each other, neither of really knowing what to say.
I felt excitement rush through me at what had just happened, yet, there was a stillness in the air as neither of us could comprehend the previous moment, and we were waiting to wrenched away from one another.
It really did just feel like a dream.
"Camilla, I need to tell you-"
His words had me hooked, but he could barely utter anything before the ringing of his cell attacked us, intervening into a moment that the both of us desperately needed.
Desperately wanted.
With a deep sigh, Alec pulls back from my embrace, reaching into his pocket to fish out his phone before placing it to his ear.
I felt oddly cold now.
"Yes, Jace?" He answered gruffly, his annoyance evident making me chuckle lightly, the realisation that I had missed his grumpy ass was very prevalent.
"What do you mean? Are they ok?"
The questions made my heart pang and I immediately stepped forwards, alert. Alec notices my movement, his eyes reaching mine, and as soon as I see his once tense shoulders relax and his face fill with relief I exhale, backing down.
God knows what the hell was going on.
"I have Camilla here, we will meet you there in about an hour or so." Alec says authoritatively, before swiftly hanging up and shoving the phone into his pocket, his gaze quickly locking with mine. "Is everything ok?" I ask tentatively and watch nervously as Alec frowns, stepping forwards towards me.
"Clary and Simon were kidnapped by werewolves-" I cut him off instantly.
"Oh my god! Are they ok? Werewolves? Is Clary hurt, did they hurt Si-"
"Camilla!" Alec exclaims loudly, cutting of my nervous ranting, making me stop and anxiously look up at him. "They're fine, Jace and Izzy got them out, and they got Luke too, he apparently helped them".
I immediately sigh in relief, my hand instinctively coming up to run messily through my hair. "They're fine? Thank god, I don't know what I would've done if something happened to either of them". I say, watching as Alec nods, understanding how guilty I would've felt it something had gone wrong.
