"This does not look like the City of Bones

"This does not look like the City of Bones." I mutter, a look of disgust and confusion on my face. My eyes scan over the industrial sized carts and the narrow and gloomy corridors that surrounds us, questioning where all the sky scrapping trees and gravestone went.

"This is the Downworlders entrance." Jace clarifies and I frown.

The place looks like more of a warehouse than a temple of doom.

"I hope I have better luck here than I did last time." Simon says, his tone joking though I could tell after years of knowing him that he was scared, and rightfully so, this wasn't a picnic, it was a heist.

"No promises on safety" Raphael replies, taunting Simon and I scoff, glaring at him. Though this seems to have little consequence to him as he merely shoots me a smile and a wink as he sauntered by.

Gross.

So as you may have guessed, I did manage to convince Raphael to join the treaty and help Meliorn, for the sake of all Downworlders. It wasn't easy, I mean we had to practically sacrifice Simon's allegiance for it, but it had to be done for the greater good.

And we needed everyone we could get.

"Everyone knows what to do?" Clary asks as we all crowd next to each other, and I watch as all the werewolves and vampires nod in agreement, knowing the plan.

"Text when you're in position." Jace states, and I watch as Luke nods and begins to walk to his section, before degradingly being whistled at by Raphael. He turns with an irritated expression on his face.

"Stay... Good dog." Raphael mocks, making his clique laugh and the werewolves snarl.

"Bite me." Luke retorts.

"Roll over."

"Play dead."

"Boom!" Simon exclaims with a hand explosion, a huge smile on his face as he fist bumps Luke. However, this soon causes issues as before I can blink the werewolves and vampires are face to face, hissing and snarling threateningly at each other.

It was truly bizarre to witness.

"Guys!" I exclaim, pushing them back and separating them, before standing between them. " We get it okay, werewolves are wet dogs and vamps are over-sized mosquitos, but that doesn't help any of us. All our lives are at stake, right now it doesn't matter what you are, we are all Downworlders tonight"

"Luke?" I ask, as he nods, agreeing.

"Raphael?" I glance towards him, and after a moment of hesitation he too nods, and I sigh, relief filling me. I watch as they all go their separate ways, the plan beginning to come to life.

"We're risking everything, aren't we? Going against the Clave, against the other Shadowhunter's..." Clary says anxiously, here eyes skittering between Jace and I.
