Darkness, excluding the small white light at the end of the Twilight Realm, consumed the area. Multiple portals scattered everything. On the ground and in the air cutting through time and space. As tempting as it is to look at them, you must not. Or your mind will suffer.

The Usurper King was nowhere in sight, assuming he wasn't aware that he had visitors. It was almost too good to be true. He had eyes all over the Twilight Realm. Something wasn't right. As leader, Link had to be extra cautious, keeping his guard up at all times. He felt like something was going to happen, something bad. The feeling of being lured in an obvious trap.

"It's really strange that nothing is popping out. I'm not the only one thinking this, right?" Neji asked nervously.

"It makes me paranoid." Link answered. "I'm not sure if this guy is willing for us to breeze through or has something in store."

"This place gives me the creeps." Charlene said swallowing hard. "It's just as scary as the graveyard and the weirdo combined."

"You got that right." Charles lowered his eyes. "I don't want to fall for that trap again... It's something I wouldn't want to wish upon my worse enemy."

Zelda felt her heart racing, hearing the fear from her comrades wasn't helping her much. "How bad is it?"

"So bad that I nearly lost my sanity." Charles responded. "I hate that I dimmed my heart container for being so stupid."

"Brother, you're not stupid." Charlene cut in. "You know that's not true. You're the smartest person I know."

"That's because I studied a lot more than you."

"Only because father wanted me to train with him so much."

Charles rolled his eyes. "Yeah, because you're the favorite."

"Excuse me? Why do you think I'm the favorite? He doesn't favor one over the other."

"I'm pretty sure he does, considering he spends a lot more time with you than me. He thinks of me as a disappointment all because I can't swing a sword like him, or mother, or you! You don't have any idea how it feels like being the black sheep of the family!"

"You're not a black sheep! It doesn't matter if you can't swing a sword properly!"

"Easy for you to say, Ms. Perfect! You can do anything! People like you more! You get so much approval and praise! You can easily make father proud! Unlike me..."

"Charles..." As Charles was turning his head, he wasn't expecting a twilight portal to be right there. It was too late to look away. He locked eyes inside the portal. Everything was becoming a blur, and a second later, he fell to his knees. "Charles!" Charlene rushed to his side, staring with worry.

Charles was trembling violently, holding his hands to his ears. There were tears in his eyes, his cold expression had turned into a state of panic. "I just want you to be proud of me... Is that too much to ask..? Why father?! Why can't you accept me for who I am?!"
