Successfully escaping from Ikana Graveyard, Link assumed they were finally safe and stopped, making the others stop as well. Everyone was trying to catch their breath except Zelda who was being carried by Link the entire time.
Link gently put Zelda down, grunting in pain. Worry filled her eyes. Link had used himself as a shield to protect her. He had risked his own life for someone he didn't even know for that long. The thought of it was bizarre, but she couldn't be any more thankful that he had saved her life.
Zelda carefully placed her hands on Link's shoulders, gently sitting him down. "Do you feel lightheaded? You lost a lot of blood."
Breathing irregularly, Link nodded, dozing off for a second. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me."
"How can I not be worried after you took such a dangerous hit?" Zelda sighed hopelessly. "Did anyone bring any medical supplies? Even a first aid kit would come in handy right about now."
"We don't need that." Charles stepped in. "I'm advanced in healing magic."
Zelda's eyes widened at the news, smiling in relief. "That's great! That means you can heal Link's wound!"
"It's not big deal. You just need to get out of the way for me to do it."
"Oh... Yeah. Sorry." Zelda stood up so Charles could take her place. A soft blue light appeared around Charles's hands, hovering over towards Link's wound to work its magic.
It was fascinating to see a normal person who knew how to use magic. Even seeing someone swinging a sword was eye catching. She wished she had some kind of skill or power to be useful. All she did was get herself captured, and got her comrade hurt in the process. She never felt so useless before.
"Hey, are you alright?" Zelda heard Charlene ask her.
Forcing a smile on her face, Zelda nodded. "I'm fine."
"You don't have to hide it, Alice. You feel awful that Link got hurt while saving you. I'm not sure if you notice, but you wear your heart on your sleeve."
Her smile dropped just like that. Letting out a sigh, Zelda's eyes drooped, staring down at the ground. "Yeah... I feel like crap about it. If only I could fight like all of you. Where I come from, I never learned how to fight or anything like that. I had an easy life where it wasn't necessary to learn how to swing a sword."
"I'm trying to see it in your perspective since you and I lived oppositely. I'm not sure where this Hyrule land is, but my brother and I were born and raised in a land where children are trained to fight at an early age. My father trained me to my limit since I had potential with a sword. He tried with my brother, but well... That style of fighting didn't suit him."
"And that's why he learned magic?"
"That's right."
"Hey." Charles remarked with an annoyed expression while walking over to them. "I can hear everything you're saying. Don't be telling our life story again, sis."
