"WHAT?!"

"I just said that the sports festival will continue to happen," Aizawa repeated.

"But we literally just nearly survived the attack on USJ!!" Kaminari complained.

"What sports festival could be so important?" Kirishima asked.

"It's obvious," Jiro said, rolling her eyes. "We need to distract the public or some crap, right?"

"That's part of the idea," Aizawa confirmed. "But this sports festival is not the one some of you might have in mind. In your previous schools, this consisted of basic sports or shows of game-based skill."

"This is completely different, but still similar," Deku explained excitedly, bouncing in her seat. "Every year, UA High puts on a big festival to show off the newcomer's skills! The Third Years and Pro League of Heroes watch you use your Quirk, and everyone watches to see how well you do! It's a big showcase of power, and some of the greatest heroes have been featured on previous showcases! I've seen even-"

"Midoriya, if you would like to come teach this class, then I will politely oblige," Aizawa interrupted. "But please, do so after I have finished speaking."

"S-sorry," she mumbled, realizing that she had been rambling.

"Moving on," Aizawa sighed. "Both Jiro and Midoriya are correct partially. Ever since All Might became a teacher, the media has swarmed the school. It wasn't long before they figured out what happened a few days ago at the USJ. This will be a distraction of sorts, but to also show that a few thugs will not disrupt our tradition.

"As Midoriya said, the Pro Hero League and Third Years will be watching you. This is where they scope out the new talent, and where you give it your all. It will be a point-based competition, and we will be training with our Quirks to prepare yourselves. How well you do in this tournament will decide things like your Hero Studies internships and where you will go after UA High. Your future starts here. If you slack off, expect nothing. I'm going to sleep. Don't be loud or I'll give you all detention."

With that, their lethargic teacher zipped himself up in his sleeping bag, and fell over. He immediately began snoring. The students waited for a moment before jumping out of their seats and rushing to talk to each other.

"A show of skills?" Iida asked Midoriya.

"Mhm!" She nodded. "Like Mr. Aizawa said, this is a really big deal! Agencies and heroes will look for sidekicks or future additions to teams!!"

"Whoa, really?" Uraraka questioned, grinning. "Well, what do we do, Deku?"

"It changes every year," Deku replied. "Challenges and rounds are point-based, and the first two rounds are generated at random, chosen from a list of the possible activities."

"How many rounds are there?" Ashido asked, walking over with a few of her friends.

"There are three, but the last round is split into segments, based off of who passed the first two," Deku answered.

"You sure know a lot about this," Sero laughed.

"I have a whole other notebook dedicated to each year I've watched!" Deku beamed.

"No one gives a fuck, nerd," Bakugo growled in front of them, a tic in his forehead.

"Ah, c'mon, BakuBro!" Kirishima laughed, sitting on Bakugo's desk and punching his shoulder. "That's not a manly thing to say to a pretty girl."

"Like I care," he rolled his eyes, standing and grabbing his bag.

Bakugo walked to the door, bag over his shoulder. Deku watched him as people around her continued to talk. However, when he opened the door, a sea of students were waiting right outside, fighting each other for the place closest to our door.
