____3rd Person POV_____

A (H/L) haired (H/C) girl lied on the roof of the apartment, staring up at the brightly shiny starry sky. Her green and blue eyes glowed as the little lights reflected on them.

She smiled to herself as she stretched her arms out, rocking herself up to sit on the roof. She grabbed her nearby drink of (F/D) in the small clear glass cup, taking a sip of it in relaxation. Letting out a small breath of relief her eyes drifted to look in front of her, across the vast city of Gotham.

It had been a few months since (Y/N) left the manor, and she's come to love the outside world. Growing use to living in the somewhat large apartment, in the small alleyway with Liam.

The news of her disappearance spread quickly, all over the news as there were countless reports of the Wayne girl's appearance in certain areas. But every report was just a false claim. She was completely erased from the sight of others, living in the shadows with her small light of powers.

It was better that way. She got to be alone, by herself. Nobody expect Liam bothered her most days, besides the occasional yelling of the neighbors and some fun shots every now and then. But this reminded her of the good old times, growing up. How she had to worry about getting mugged, instead of worrying about what to wear to one of Bruce's Charity events. It felt like she was at home.

Being on the streets, independent; it gave her a sense of confidence in both her abilities to survive and herself.

Besides her looks, (Y/N)'s personality has changed quite a bit in the past few months as well. Her usual happy self has seemed to return, and she appeared more stress free, careless, calm, collected. There was a show of confidence in her step, as she strutted down the street, along with a sass in her swing.

She had more control over her mind than she did before, and was able to control her sanity, thoughts, actions. Even though there were some moments where she would loose it, and a few people would pay for it with their blood. But for the most part, (Y/N) was who she wanted to try to be.

"You just going to stay up here all night?" (Y/N)'s eyes remained glued to the lights of the city, as she smiled a bit.

"I'll be inside in a second," She whispered out as she turned around to see Liam standing behind her. His faded blonde hair reflected the dim light of the stars as his eyes shined bright.

"Well, could I join you for that second?" He asked as he walked closer and stood next to her. Looking down at her, he noticed her original color roots peeking through her hair, as her face remained in place, looking forward.

He also noticed the small picnic she had beside her, which consisted of: a half eaten sandwich, a bag of chips, a (F/D), and some (pie/cake/brownies).

Reaching over, he grabbed a piece of the sandwich, and a little bit of the dessert. (Y/N) didn't pay attention to it as she was in deep thought, her eyes glazing over the streets, focusing on each little detail of the scene. Even if she's seen it so many times before it still looked gorgeous each single time. With the little river separating her from the actual inner city, and reflecting all the lights. The defining colors of the signs contrasted the sky and surrounding buildings as they showed the bright greens and purples.

"You still miss them, don't you?" Liam sat down beside the (h/c) girl, and glanced over at her. His eyes tracing the shape of hers as she closed her eyes, sighing.

"Every now and then I get the feeling that they miss me, and it just eats me inside. I do love them, and miss them, but this is what I have to do,"
