Y'all ever get inspiration to write at the worse time... I was in a Zoom call for one of my classes and yeah. Here's this thing

*previously*

I looked to Damian, my paranoia jumping up more and more with the darkness, as I feared for Tim, Jason and Dick,

"Then who turned off the lights???" I whisper shouted for some reasons almost fearful that someone was listening. Just as I saw Damian turned to me, my fears and frights were confirmed as I heard a hollow ghostly like voice speak up,

"That would be me,"

___1st Person POV____

My fight or flight response kicked in as I jumped around, my head turning to the door as I slid over towards Damian, my hand still up and glowing. I could feel my teeth chatter against one another as I watched the door with paranoia, gripping onto Damian's arm with my free hand. I felt him try to shake me off, his body moving forwards towards the door. As he reached out to the handle, twisting it in all directions, he let out a string of curses, backing away,

"It's locked," he stated and just as he stared at the door, forming a plan in his head, I scanned the room, noticing a green gas spewing from the vent we jumped out of. Seeing this, i pushed Damian out of the way from the door, and brought both hands up. Feeling them heat up, I instantly shot at the door, knocking it off of the hinges and hitting it into the wall outside of the room.

Damian gave me a look of anger yet confusion as I pulled him out of the room, pointing towards where the vent was in the darkness, "He had fear toxin coming out of the vents,"

Turning around, I looked down the very dark hallway, hearing soft faint noises echoing along the walls of the facility. A shiver was sent up my spine as I tried to see through the dark. As I squinted through the dark, I felt Damian put his hand on my shoulder,

"He's got gas spewing from every vent," he relayed. I spun to look at him, confused at to how he could see down the hall, to which I saw a darkened smirk come to his lips, "Nightvision. Dad added it a few weeks ago,"

Giving him a nod, I listened to his movements, hearing him rustling around for something as I just stood there in the dark, his hand off of my shoulder. Standing there, I kept my hands from glowing, hoping that it would keep our position from being compromised. I heard him pause for a second, his feet shifting in place as he let out a small curse,

"What?" I asked and I could feel his hands grab onto mine, putting something in my hand,

"I only have one filter to block out the toxins, so you take it,"

Lifting up the item, I stared at it through the dark, unsure as to whether I accept it or give it back. I knew that if I was to deny it and try to give it back, he would probably force it back to my hands, but I wanted to be the bigger person. He was more qualified to fight if anything was to happen, and even had the night vision, so he was the better person to keep sane out of us two. But, even if I threw that reasoning and fact at him, he'd still make me take the thing and protect myself.

Letting out a sigh, I accepted it, "You lead the way though, but when you start to feel the toxins kick in, tell me,"

I heard footsteps and soon I felt his hand go forward, dragging me along as I shoved the filter into my nose, the uncomfortableness of it feeling awkward. I pushed the feeling aside though as I walked behind Damian, hearing him let out a cough every now and then, trying to fight off the toxins that slowly began to get stronger as we continued down the hall. I could just hear the sound of the vents spewing the terrible chemical out of them, slowly reaching us as it began to fill the hallway.
