This was strange.
He sat in a chair in front of Remus, Diesel, Aamon. They stood there chatting amongst themselves, discussing something Thomas couldn't quite hear.
But he knew it was about him.
He looked around the "room". This was different from the warehouse, it looked as if he was in a basement. There were stains on the wall and and the floor was cold under his feet.
Wait, where were his shoes?
He could have easily stood up and walked around and searched for them.
Thomas sighed. Did it even matter? Why did he make this stupid choice? Why was he so dumb?
A heavy hand was on his shoulder and face right in his. "Hiya!" Remus shouted. "What ya thinkin' about?"
Thomas didn't bother to answer. Why should he?
Diesel sighed. "Thomas how do you feel?"
Honestly? He felt drained, tired, and confused. But at the same time he could feel this strange anger in the back of his head. At his parents for being so terrible. At Virgil for abandoning him.
"Fine."
Remus giggled from where he stood. "You act so much like Patton!"
Thomas scoffed. No he didn't. He was so tired of people trying to make him into something else. Patton was Patton. Virgil was Virgil. And Thomas was a freak.
But he was Thomas.
He didn't notice the small weeds crawing up the legs of the chair, his eyes a dim green.
"I act like me." His voice was so small, but the raw power. It seducted them all. They needed this power if they wanted Virgil back.
"Well, he's fun," Aamon laughed as he restrained Thomas to the chair with orange glowing strings. "But I think he's forgetting who's in charge here," he drawled.
"Me," Diesel said simply. "Release him. I want to see what he can do."
Aamon glared at Diesel but reluctantly released Thomas.
"Go ahead, Thomas." Diesel smirked as he gestured for Aamon and Remus to get into position. "Show us what you can do."
Thomas stood slowly on wobbly legs. He couldn't do this now. His powers were to weak. They needed to recharge, he needed a break.
"What are you waiting for?" Remus asked, eyes sparkling with excitement. "You and those light sides take so long."
"You are trying to harness your powers, but what we forget sometimes is that people can be nice and fun and great. Like nature We firget the calm part about it. What you are forgetting or refusing to accept is that your powers are a part of you and you it."
Thomas could hear Virgil say those same words again to him. He knew it was just his memory but it gave him an idea. For so long he had been doing what Virgil had said. Letting go of his anger, being calm and nice and fun and great.
He was done letting his anger build up just so he can please others. So they could be happy with the fact he was normal. And if he dared step out of line and be a part of who he truly was then he was the bad guy.
Well, maybe he was tired of being the good guy.
Thomas reached for anger he could feel in the back of his head and broke down that stupid wall.
Diesel let out a surprised gasp as Thomas' eyes lit with a passionate green.
Plants grew around Thomas and he let himself be mixed in with his powers. He let himself let it all out. He smiled and laughed, his voice catching briefly when he saw all three of their faces.
"You wanted to see what I could do." That's all that left his mouth before he stretched out his hand and vines flew at the three.
"No mister 'Nice Guy'."
